We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stopdrinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

Day Eleven! First full night’s sleep! I’m not sure I ever moved the entire night. Curled up with my girl sometime after midnight last night, and woke up just a while ago. That’s probably damn close to seven solid hours of sleep! Holy shit! My body is healing… I’m not drinking with you all on this lazy Saturday!

The speed at which I problem solve (troubleshoot problems, heavy truck mechanic) is definitely faster, especially in the early mornings. That’s when I used to be really hungover/lingering-drunk and honestly sluggish and foggy as hell. I had a tricky electrical problem, first thing in the morning, late this week. Fuckin nailed it within an hour. That’s completely within normal brain fog territory when I’d usually be hunting coffee and settling out. I’m not much of a creative, but I’m sure you’re feeling something similar to what I felt that morning.

      Feels fuckin great, don’t it?

Had a great night last night eating junk food and playing Cyberpunk 2077 with the hubster. Now I’m about it to go pick at this case study just a bit more, do some chores, go for a jog, and then D&D tonight!

Being productive always feels fantastic because I spent so many years…not!

    IWNDT!
