if the can is swelling, toss it. if it isnt but you open it up and it smells even remotely off, toss it. if not, cook thoroughly.
I’m a big fan of spam, it never last that long in my cupboard! got a jar of pickled lettuce that’s been in there for 6 years though and I dont want to eat it but I also dont want to throw it out because it’s so weird.
I bought eggs for the first time in years so… eggs I guess! Maybe I’ll cube and fry up some Spam and scramble some eggs with it.
Edit: hmm I know spam is meant to be pretty resilient but most sites I’m seeing are saying try to use it within 3 years…
