I carry my phone, ear buds, keys, wallet, a small pocket knife, and the ghosts of my past.
I carry my phone, ear buds, keys, wallet, a small pocket knife, and the ghosts of my past.
No clue. Everyone called me a millennial until they started calling me gen Z.
Honestly I have no idea
He said he would in exactly those words.
Don’t use Jan 6th
explain why you think he’s authoritarian, but don’t talk about that time he instigated a failed fascist coup
I’ll admit, if you move the goalposts like that it gets a lot harder to score.
Thankfully, he doesn’t actually need to win the majority vote (look up the electoral college if you’re curious/horrified), unfortunately that fact mostly benefits Trump.
It may already be too late to replace him. It would definitely be risky. And it’s not gonna happen unless Biden himself says so. If he runs against whoever the DNC were to pick to run against him or would guarantee a Trump win.
The candidates are selected in a primary election, but since Biden is incumbent he got all the support from the Democratic establishment. As a result the only people running against him was a clown car of freaks and weirdos who never had a shot to begin with.
The opportunity to kick Biden out already passed 4 years ago. Thankfully he can’t get a third term, and I expect he’ll be something of a pariah if he loses to Trump so we won’t see him running again in 4 years one way or another. But that’s in 4 years anyway. These next few months are gonna be rocky.
I worry that if/when Lemmy becomes popular enough the larger communities will be targeted in the same way…
And enormously outperforming the original, too. A shame, I like threes.
Training an AI is intensive, but using them after the fact is relatively cheap. Cheaper than traditional rendering to reach the same level of detail. The upfront cost of training is offset by the savings on every video card running the tech from then on. Kinda like how railroads are expensive to build but much cheaper to operate after the fact.
It’s pretty simple. If you can’t understand delayed gratification, then you’re right: school did fail you.
Ps.: the railroad comparison really breaks down when you consider that they’re cheaper to build than the highways that trucks use and that we don’t, in fact, need to truck in the resources anyway. We’ve been building railroads longer than trucks have existed, after all.
“Men who are toxic generally are more likely to be toxic sexually”
Kind of a no-brainer. I guess it’s interesting that men who exhibit toxic traits are both more likely to falsely identify behavior as consensual and are more likely to proceed even if they do identify it as not consensual, but that’s not totally unexpected either.
As in there was no shooter? That is unhinged
I don’t expect MS will give you the choice. Not as far as the whole spying on you part is concerned, at least.
There’s simply no way Norway has the US beat for total taco consumption; even per capita consumption would be impressive.
I didn’t even know they had a salad. And if I’m being honest, I’m petty surprised anyone would actually order it…

You’re welcome
That was 8 years ago. There are people voting this year that were 10 when Trump entered office. Idk about you, but I wasn’t paying much attention to politics in middle school.
Not even soldered, but spot-welded. Still ‘not field replaceable’ sounds like a challenge to me. I be with some wirecutters, some solder, and a little bit of wire that battery can be easily replaced.
I would kill for this. Trying to get logseq, or any other markdown editor to play nice with an existing obsidian vault is a nightmare. And none of them are nearly as feature complete or expandable.
Watch me drive slower than everyone else pressuring them into overtaking me thus increasing the chances of a collision because the government put up a sign that said so.
You’re barely even saving any fuel. Maintaining speed uses much less fuel than getting up to speed, and depending on the gearing and aerodynamics of the car it may even be more efficient to cruise above whatever the speed limit happens to be. You’re probably costing all the people who have to overtake you a bit of extra fuel, though.
Go the common speed as long as it’s within the realm of reason. This is day 1 of driver’s ed, people.
