There’s nothing wrong with being paid by a nation for doing work for them.

The first half “I pay for all monthly subscriptions”, good as a functioning member of society you need to pay your bills. There is nothing controversial about it. You could have omitted that part.

I’m not familiar with in n out. Most chain burger places cost their fries in chemicals to make them crunchy longer. A natural cut fry becomes unappetizing like 10 minutes after it’s out if the fryer.

Taco Bell doesn’t deserve the hate it gets

I knew a health inspector. He commented that guaranteed the cleanest restaurant kitchen in every town was a taco bell. Apparently they aggressively train employees and managers to clean way more than other restaurants.

His milkshakes brings all the boys to the yard.

Air drying gives me crisp clothes. Using a dryer with fabric softener gives me nice and soft clothes.

I want soft clothing. So I use the dryer.

That’s the fastest way you can prove you’re an asshole in the office.

I worked at a place where a manager refused to meet with his subordinates and instead would make and then send them videos of what he expected them to do. That did not go over well. They were all super insulated by that move.

Who’s watching ads and clicking on them…

My wife works in advertising. Online ads are about building brand recognition. It’s affecting it’s primary goal by having you see the advertisement. Clicking on the ad is another metric, but it’s not necessarily the goal, more of icing on the cake.

The companies/govt agencies have huge budgets to get people to see their message. The big reason the house brand of whatever at the store is 10% cheaper is that brand doesn’t advertise. You the consumer are paying for advertising by buying products that are advertised.

Story time:

Years ago, I interned with the local sheriff’s office. I spent most of my time there with the warrant team. They went out and arrested people with outstanding warrants. In doing so, I learned that after sentencing the convicted person voluntarily report to prison. They had to process a number of people who were sentenced to prison but never reported.

I, like you, expected people to be transferred from court to prison after sentencing. That was a shocking revelation for me.
