Oh yes I know just what you’re talking about, and this makes me irrationally angry.
I can’t totally disable it either because my fingers are too big for the damn digital keyboard.

Search engines should not ever, under any circumstances use geo-location data to provide results. If I search for “current weather,” it shouldn’t know where I am, and it should require qualifiers on my part if I want to narrow it down.
On a similar topic, my devices should not automatically change settings to adapt to my routine. Settings should only change if I manually change them.
When conservative “people” try to make memes
Since the publication of this piece in 2016, methodological flaws have been found in Singh’s study and other desistance research, and recent studies suggest that detransition rates are very low.
Yep, and based on this footnote it seems the opposite may be true. This doesn’t seem to be referencing limitations of the study, but rather that the whole study is called into question.
Maybe I read too much into it, but I was also sensing a subtext of “both sides” throughout the article regarding transgender people/allies and the anti-trans crowd.
Odd article. Not sure I found it edifying or helpful.

I agree regarding things like neurodivergence or general social awkwardness, but attempting to normalize the sexualization of minors or even implying it’s healthy and good is really crossing a line imo
Nice try, boss
It didn’t have the same problem, but it had a different set of problems. Breaking Bad still being fresh in viewers’ minds was one of them, because it had to live up to that legacy. It managed, and it surprised me when it did.
I can’t grasp how they can make a Spinal Tap sequel work, but I’m open to being proved wrong.
Not sure how they plan to pull this off. “This is Spinal Tap” is great fun, but it’s very much a product of its time. The cultural landscape that produced bands like Spinal Tap no longer exists, unless that itself will be the premise of the film, but that would be super hard to execute well.
I’ve been wrong before, though. I fully expected Better Call Saul to be a cheap money grab with no real value, and I was wrong about that. Hopefully, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Should’ve mentioned he’s from Morelos. Mexico is quite a large, diverse country.
Either way, he doesn’t really seem to care whether someone calls Chipotle “Mexican food” or not.
I asked my husband who’s from Mexico, and he said, “Kinda? Not really.”
He added, and I quote, “Flour tortillas are not Mexican.”
Wow, that’s a trip. The fact that they nuked everything when they were questioned like a child hiding his piss in a bedside drawer tells you everything you need to know about their ethics.
Side note: I never trust a site that uses Amazon Affiliate links. I’m into longboarding, and almost every site about “best longboards for _____” are filled with recommendations for cheap, sketchy equipment likely to cause injury or worse. At the very least, you’re wasting your money on drop-shipped trash. Amazon Affiliate links are a blight.

Westley (not sci-fi, but Princess Bride name I like)
I also like that it can be shortened to Wes
This gave me the first genuine laugh I’ve had today. Thanks.
