Just back home after a 2 week trip to Europe, got a ton of work and a nasty jetlag. So yeah, could be better right now.

Thanks! And actually I’m European, so for me it was more of a visit back home, just don’t really call it that since I moved away almost 19 years ago now.

But yeah it was fun as always, just a bit exhausting.

Having a short work week is nice. But, man, if I’m not ready for a vacation. 3 weeks to get through.

Surprisingly well. I was on vacation Monday and Tuesday, and had some great quality time with my other half. Then today at work I got a huge unexpected bonus and a plaque commemorating my recent hard work. Feels good bros.

Got my blood tests back and I have low testosterone so I have 2 choices.

    1. do a bunch of hard and long term fixes to try and drag it kicking and screaming up to as high as I can.

    2. Take the results to a TRT clinic, get on “the good shit” be able to adjust my dosage to get to the high end of whats naturally possible, get jacked but possibly have my nuts shrivel up and not be able to have any more kids…

    Shitty decision.

How does it affect your life? Is it dangerous, or more like an inconvenience?

Also, reading a it about it, it seems that it is not a hard limit, and that some have set it to 300 where others at 250.

Providers also take symptoms into consideration when diagnosing low testosterone.

I do have most of the common symptoms to some degree, Ive had it described as “TRT makes men with low test feel the way people wish antidepressants made them feel” You gain muscle and lose fat easier, you’re more motivated, more energetic, more stable moods, less irritable…

So knowing its low enough to qualify me for TRT is like a red-pill, blue pill scenario. If I take the TRT I definitely get the results and the side effects. If I dont and try to bring it back naturally, I might achieve nothing, I might bring it back to “normal” but it could take a long time and be very difficult.

Now I know its an issue, I kind of have to do something. My biggest worry is that if I try natural I’ll raise it just enough naturally to not be eligible for TRT but not get it high enough to really feel great.

Interesting! And thanks for describing it!

Sometimes a diagnosis makes everything even worse than the actual symptoms, but I assume that it has been bothering you, if you had it checked. I don’t know what the natural way of getting it back is, or what “normal” is, but I’d think it is normal to have a lower testosterone the older you get

Dad had a heart attack last Thursday, so I was up at the parents’ house over the weekend to help out a little. He’s recovering nicely.

Started going back to therapy earlier this month to deal with the stress from a sudden change at work. Coming to the realization that I may have ADHD or something like that, and wondering if it’s worth the effort to get an official diagnosis.

Also, need to sit down with a financial planner so I can start taking concrete steps towards my goal of being able to retire early…but have been putting that off due to the aforementioned ADHD.

Sounds like you’re handling a difficult time pretty well. Good stuff.

For financial planning I found it much easier to change my current account to a bank that automatically categorises and displays spending data really well in their app. Budgeting is easier when you have tools to make it easier.
