If I use the report feature under a post, does that report go to the lemmy admins or only to the community mod? I want to report an entire community for violating the TOS. How do I accomplish that?
The community in question is a new German neonazi music community created a few hours ago and quickly posting a lot of racist material:
From lemmy.world/legal
"Report Issues/Contact Us
Contact us for all issues by e-mailing info@lemmy.world."
About a week ago I contacted them about something and they got back to me pretty fast
Edit: although I can’t give a source, I understand that if a post gets enough reports, site admin can see it and not just community mods.
Thank you for the info! I appreciate it.
Nice, looks like it’s already been removed!
Heads up that there was a massive leak of Patriot Front (nazi) info that can be downloaded as a torrent. I’m perma-sharing the download because I have no data cap by my ISP. Out these fuckers.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !rechtsrock@lemmy.world
If you are in a scenario where the Lemmy server refuses to act and you really really think they should, https://www.wikihow.com/Report-a-Website.
But Nazi stuff unfortunately isn’t a reason to shut down a site. :-(
I currently work for a web host & registrar. And we cannot act (more like management refuses to act) unless my job gets warning emails for legal violations or threats from big companies.
But it does give us enough of a scare to then bring that threat down to the owner.
