I do not have infinite scrolling on any feed pages, but I thought that was one of the new features. I see no options in the settings for it either. On post pages where there are a lot of comments I do see it autoloading more as I scroll down, but not on feeds, there I still have the buttons prev / next.

I have deleted my cookies, logged out and back in, tried different browsers, disabled all extensions and scripts, but nothing changes.

I am on a linux desktop, if that matters. Any help would be appreciated. I assume I am missing something simple, but what?

OK, thanks for the info and the link. That explains it.

I could already get infinite scrolling on feed pages by using old.lemmy but there are no userscripts available for it that add keyboard navigation support that I know of, and using the mouse regularly is out of the question for me due to a physical handicap.

I had a look at the issue page and it seems to boil down to the fact that because one dev feels it could be psychologically harmful to some to offer autoscroll nobody should have such a choice built-in. I guess I have to wait on someone to add this functionality to a userscript, like the missing keyboard navigation support, which I also require.

I know I am probably a rare edge-case, but I really wish people wouldn’t make blanket assumptions as to why someone would want such a feature or how they use the service/product.

Judging other people by your standards is lame and narrow-minded, and disabled people already get the short end of the stick at practically every turn.

    Be better, Lemmy!
