It’s because it’s true. Republicans discovered that they lose when they put the abortion issue to a direct vote. So now it’s a game of enacting unpopular and unethical policy through means other than democracy.

Dude really felt the need to comment this in both communities lmao

So? Saying it twice, in different communities, doesn’t rise to the level of spam.

Never said it did. I just find it intriguing he finds it worthwhile to post meaningless talking points in multiple communities

It’s not meaningless. Subverting the will of the people is a terrible thing for the country.

The government is supposed to serve the people, and it can only do so if it represents the will of the people.

And the will of the people is to allow abortion to remain widely legal with some basic restrictions at most.

Should we return racial segregation and slavery if it gets a popular vote? Or should we have protections for our rights against majoritarianism

Clearly not enough since you people are throwing a fit that you can’t just throw massive omnibus garbage on the ballot to try and take away the right to life.

                  massive omnibus garbage

It wasn’t a small change, but this is an exaggeration.

and take away the right to life.

That’s not what the policy would have done though.
