Ha, this happened to me. I’m a super safe driver, but my wife convinced me that there was only one car at the intersection and it was deserted at night, and so I should do a u-turn because she saw a stray cat on the side of the road. The other car was a cop of course. Got pulled over, they were super nervous, because they didn’t see a cat, so didn’t believe why I had done a uturn in front of them.
Once they ran my ID they let me off since I had 30+ years driving with clean record. But I won’t be doing a random uturn again.
