This sounds kind of dumb, but I have no idea what works or not in China
I think 4 is supposed to be a very offensive number because it rhymes with death in Mandarin.
Like 13 in the west, they’ll sometimes skip the number for building floors and such.
European exotic for rich buyers maybe.
Were the rings offensive somehow?
