The Turkish production gets straight into the action as it follows eager London Met officer Mehmet Suleyman (Ethan Kai), who is transferred to bustling Istanbul to help the charismatic titular detective Çetin Ikmen (Haluk Bilginer) solve a different crime each week – starting with the murder of a young woman.

Now, Guy Martin is part of an ambitious effort to recover both the plane and the remains of three crew members, with involvement from their living descendants and funding from the Dutch government.

The hippy days of 70s Ibiza are vividly brought to life in the opening to this series, with colourful archive footage and people bursting with anecdotes (including Bamboo “the acid tripper”).

Formula One Racing: The British Grand Prix, 2.30pm, Channel 4 Max Verstappen defends his commanding lead at Silverstone.
