I’ve been playing for the first time a while back. It’s neat, but I think the primary reason people love it so much is that it’s the first popular console FPS that didn’t control horribly and split screen co-op. On it’s own it’s just a decent shooter that no longer feels special.

Which is why they won’t do it. This is about easy money, not revisiting games that aged poorly and / or failed to live up to their potential when they originally came out to make a better and more modern experience while retaining the spirit of originals.
They aren’t paid enough to care.

I think the problem is allowing corporations to own the copyright. We should make it so that only the original creator of something can copyright it for ten years.
