Stuff like that, I found these tracks this past winter and haven’t really found any new summertime stuff I’m into

My two chihuahuas are doing well, but right now they’re a bit mad at me. You see, when we give them their flea medication they insist on licking each other — this is obviously bad so my wife and I have to go into separate rooms with a dog each, where each dog is temporarily upset that they don’t get to see the other.

I still buy, rent, rip I mean watch Blu-rays. The quality is always better than streaming (even with a fully capable internet connection).

This is no surprise, they’ve been one of the dirtiest cloud providers for years.

I’m struggling with this now. In my 20’s I worked all the low-wage crap jobs but I was physically moving a lot.

Now I get paid a lot more to sit on a computer all day at home, and I still love computer programming, web development, building networks, etc.

The problem is I miss it being a hobby. I’m kind of burned out on our work project and sometimes I daydream about going back to work in fast food. Believe it or not I loved working in the kitchen at McDonald’s during lunch rush — it sounds fucking cheesy but my store manager and I used to race to see who could make orders faster without making mistakes.

Going back is just not doable now with the cost of living now.

Edit: I realize writing this makes it sound like I’m calling garbage truck driver a shitty job; my intention originally was to say that I miss physically working (and to an extent being in the world) but I veered off in my late night state

Sidetrack: who the fuck clicks on ads? I understand tracking, monetization, etc but do “normies” really click ads?

pfSense is UNIX-based and those commands are generally included with Linux and probably Linux-specific.

I’m running a Raspberry Pi 4 with an array of hard disks. Essentially the entire OS is on a small SSD but because I have so much data I’ve got two traditional HDD drives with XFS and LUKS disk encryption.

I’d say overall it works fantastically, over 802.11ax and Samba I’m pushing about 600-700 Mbps while transferring to the HDD drives.

I do wonder if you have it do some HTML injection though I doubt they’re not sanitizing it already.

Deploying a Windows server sounds like such a shit show, just saying

I usually play around with travel routers and OpenWRT but if I had an old router laying around maybe I’d do something fun with it.

The red light bit seems spot on. In every article stating “it blew through a red light” there’s always the caveat that it’s just trying to clear the intersection while getting pulled over. Technically people are allowed to do that (and/or move to a safer area, such as getting into the right lane when being pulled over in the left lane).

I think media like to add the intersection stuff to rile people up.

I have a Bluetooth OBD-II scanner that works with Android/iOS but the app I use kind of sucks. Others I’ve found that claim to be something of a maintenance app suck as well.

Sometimes I wish I were an iOS developer.

I’m thinking about the RS6 a lot but really want to put Alpine Linux on it if I can manage it. My reasoning is I already know how to set up a router from scratch on the command line.

OpenWRT is probably easier but I’ve had bad experiences with its UI (and the distro as a whole) in the past, but the version of it on my GL.inet travel router is pretty rock solid though the UI still annoys me and I’d rather do most configuration via SSH.

Does OpenWRT support multiple WireGuard interfaces and VLANs? This is kind of what I’m wanting.

pfSense (I know, it’s UNIX) looked good on paper too but after playing with it on a VPS the UI just seemed overly complex. I don’t want to learn the ins and outs of some weird UI.
