In general, yes. Authoritarianism is usually a sign of desire for a strong man, any strong man. They might not want to directly support Russia, but they like/respect Putin.
I’d take an anarchist over people who think the opposite is better
But are they leftists?
- Ban opposition parties
- Create an elite and call it something like “the vanguard”
- Enjoy lifetime presidency
