In counter strike it seems to manifest pretty quickly as misogyny.

“South Carolina, USA”… well that’s sadly makes sense. I need to convince my boss to let me be full time remote so I can leave.
ProgrammersAreHumanToo, great stuff.
Then there’s Google’s habit of completely ignoring the browser’s language settings so I have to sit though ads I don’t even understand
I used to occasionally watch YouTube on my lunch break when I would go into the office. I loved getting ads in Spanish, the office was in Greenville,SC not a large Spanish native population. I have premium on my account but don’t like signing in personal account on work machines.
If I ever become a game dev I’m keeping my head down.
Which is apparently not enough unfortunately. Damned it you do, damned if you don’t.
The only times I’ve seen that is if I’m trying to browse while on a VPN(mullvad in my case). And more often than not it’s because it came up in a search.
probably the best advice it could give
A wiki, documentation on their website(if they have one), a web forum that can be searched/indexed cached for later(instead of troubleshooting via discord. To me are the ideal solutions.
I refuse to install their app(Facebook) phone on my phone. They have basically broken the mobile site once again, so I’ve just stopped using it. Much easier.
Do I have a problem?
No -> Don’t Worry. Yes -> Can I do something -> No -> What the worst possible outcomes and how will I deal with them? Can I do something -> Yes -> What the worst possible outcomes and how can I negate them to only have best outcomes.
Worrying is good, preparedness makes it easier.
My only regret is that I don’t have more computers to move away from Windows.
I must have accidentally received your winter weather. I live in South Carolina and it was -4c this morning when I was leaving for work.
which I hate considering UT2003/2004 had native Linux support.
Note did I, so I assumed that was the case as well. I only have my Linux desktop with Steam.
Outside of competitive shooters, which is my favorite genre to play on PC, a lot of stuff runs well through Proton. And that’s an issue of the anti-cheat systems.
Linux gaming isn’t for everyone, I play what I can on PC and have a PS5 for other experiences. There are plenty of games I wish I could play, but I’m not interested enough to dual boot windows. I would do vfio passthrough for a VM, if they weren’t getting better at detecting that.
Ultimately I have enough games I can play to stay busy.
I did everyday in my car for listening to music when I still had my Pixel4a. Sadly it started to die and I replaced it with a Pixel 8(sans headphone jack) and had to buy a Bluetooth -> aux adapter.
I have no idea. I barely prefer working from home be the office because my desk at home has 3x 24" 1080 and a 32" 4k. Vs driving 100miles one way to the office to sit at 2 monitors, I can get so much more done at home
I’m almost sure the site has already been scrapped of current contest for the LLM.
