If your device is on Android 11 or onwards, there is an option in Developer options called “wireless debugging”. All you need is a wifi connected to your device. Turn it on with App Manager in ADB mode.
Partisan SMS, a fork of QKSMS, is also worth mentioning.
Yes, bro. I have been using it for few months. It does the job.
You can use this Simple Dialer Fork that uses TrueCaller API to fetch caller information. No ads or trackers. You will have to install TrueCaller app one time to get the API key for you and then delete it.
Edit: My bad. The readme page says this method does not work anymore. Try an older TrueCaller version before 11.81.7 if that works.
I would suggest InviZible Pro if you can configure it well.
I use Partisan SMS because I send myself encrypted scheduled messages as a reminder.
And Lemmy won people’s heart.
Apkpure fetched some unknown dummy apks two times in the past. Then I switched to apkmirror with no issues till now.
Commenting this from Infinity. Kudos to the dev.
Will stick to Jerboa. But I am happy for the Sync app only because some people will know about Lemmy.
I have zero knowledge about coding, bro.
I have long been waiting for such an app in foss.
What GBoard and SwiftKey can so far collect from a user is written in this PDF : https://github.com/kamilprz/android-keyboard-privacy/blob/main/report.pdf
Using Florisboard (only because it has its own private clipboard support.)
Did anyone notice “enhancements to the 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 of the app by each version release”?
Every keyboard (the three you mentioned) is good according to the individual usecase and experience. For me, FlorisBoard (for most part) and Indic Keyboard (for regional language typing) work best.
