Once I was watching my brother play counter strike and he would turn away in game and irl whenever he threw a flash bang.
He didn’t even realize he was doing this until I pointed it out.

18·6 months agoFor anybody thinking this new game will be anything like XCOM prepare for disappointment.
Jake has previously said that he is leaving turn-based tactics games behind.
And his tweet announcing Midsummer even says “it’s going to seem very different from what I’ve done before.”
edit: There is some good news for turn-based tactics fans. Another studio founded by former XCOM devs is focusing on turn-based games.

4·6 months agoI don’t know that the Japanese game industry has had layoffs like the west has.
I’m reminded of the time Satoru Iwata cut his own salary to avoid layoffs at Nintendo.
