Can you help me understand what’s interesting about vtubers? Someone I knew was really into it, but watched a vtuber for a few minutes once and absolutely did not understand the appeal.

loved your essay man, thanks for sharing that. Your bit about how rejecting our society as it is can only be understood as pathology hit me hard.
lol this is the only response necessary
Gotta read that, just finished the actual novel and I love some of junji itos work, this should be great
Is this junji itos frankenstein?
Not sure if his other stuff is good, but collapsing empire and consuming fire are not great, wouldnt recommend. Just felt like he had to pump out some books for a contract or something.
Anybody got the whole article? Blocked from reading the entire thing unless I start a 7 day free trial, lol
thanks for this, seems like the most reasonable take.
This is a tricky situation, since I wouldn’t want anyone to rely on external validation for their self-esteem, but here I think it’s OK to lean into the probability that your friends probably aren’t lying to you, and that you might have some internal monologue that’s hurting you.
That’s a perfect example, since I personally didn’t care about the references, it wasn’t for me. But I bet it was a trip for you, and that’s great! So no worries on whether a popular piece of art doesn’t resonate for you, it’s just not on your wavelength.
This is a cool read on that game, nice
It’s fine! Just what you like. there are countless things that are critically acclaimed that aren’t for me, I chalk it up to different perspectives on what art should do. People loved that “ready player one” book, but I thought it was trash lol.

Love it, beautiful work!!
Carl Sagan was already mentioned, he’s def a favorite of mine. I’d also add Matt Mercer, everything I’ve seen of him makes it seems like he’s just a wonderful person all around.
Fuck. I mean, let’s wait and see, but def doesn’t sound good from here.
I think “A Tale of Two Sisters” is incredibly underrated, really great Korean ghost story. Acting is top notch, solid scares, and beautiful cinematography. Highly recommended!!
Really have to watch Poughkeepsie Tapes at some point, keep hearing crazy stuff about it!!!
is it satisfactory lol
