In Montana, I believe, write-ins for president are always invalid
Whoops I thought that was Veronica. I guess it has been too long since I played
Right? Also, isn’t she gay? I love Veronica too, but I don’t think she’d want to have my babies
They did have Rush Limbaugh crowing about smoking bans, but the lung cancer that eventually killed him makes it harder to take his advice
One of our two parties wins more when more people vote.
Therefore, the other party must oppose voting by the largest groups, such as young people and people who live in cities.
The less popular party also has disproportionate control of government policy.
Which is to say, they oppose democracy itself. It is only a question of degree
For YouTube content I really like the Tubular app on Android. It has Sponsorblock built-in, which you mentioned, but it also has an option to skip silence.
I find it particularly nice for gaming content, or any point where the YouTuber is reading text aloud.
I must have skipped hundreds of hours of pointless silence by this point
I saw a comic about this once (xkcd, probably?) and going by the scene in the movie, where Legolas has human sized eyes, they deduced that Middle Earth must have an exotic atmosphere
Mainly because if your ears get hot any sweat can cause the earbuds to fall out. They at least don’t fall on the floor (just into the headphone can) but it’s not as nice as having regular wireless headphones.
Pro-tip: if you plan to use them for more that about 3 hours at a time, get a second pair of earbuds. That way when the first one’s battery dies you can just swap them out while it recharges
If you don’t want to spend a lot of money and are willing to put up with jank you can do what I do: get a pair of hearing protection headphones from the hardware store.
Just regular noise isolating cans for like mowing lawns or shooting guns. You can find a decent pair for less than $35. Look for a high NRR value (Noise Reduction Rating).
Then just wear earbuds underneath them. I use Samsung Galaxy Buds, but any wireless earbuds will do.
It’s a bit janky but it didn’t cost me $200
Lmao one of my friends had just gotten a DVD player in his room around when that movie came out. His mom walked in the room when he was watching it, right at that scene, late on a school night. He scrambled to turn off the TV, but that made her think it was porn… Barbie doll/action figure porn.
She just slowly backed out of the room and wouldn’t let him explain
Pistol Whip has an auto aim mechanic. You can disable it in the challenge settings and see how impractical it actually is to dual wield handguns
Does it not make tons of noise?
We have an ice machine in the freezer and often it is the loudest thing in the entire house. I also have a mini fridge in the office and the compressor on it runs every few minutes. It would be awful to try to sleep in there
The title for the sequel could be some kind of pun on how the film is faster and/or more furious than what would be reasonable under normal circumstances
Yes, the game supports split screen local co-op on consoles and even on PC.
You can play through the first 2/3rds of the game in split screen with no trouble. However, in my experience it gets unstable in act 3 on Xbox Series X (probably also on PS5). Presumably it is something to do with the limited memory on consoles, so if your PC has great specs it should work there.
They are planning an update due next month which is supposed to address the crashing, but it remains to be seen.
I think currently the best experience on consoles is to have two copies of the game on separate consoles.
The patch 7 update also will supposedly add cross platform multiplayer, so you could have one player on console and one on PC, since you probably don’t have two Xboxes, but again, it remains to be seen
When I got LASIK I wasn’t allowed to wear contacts for a few weeks before the surgery. I bought the cheapest pair of glasses from Zenni. I had new glasses for $17 + $10 shipping.
If I had to do it again I would have my IPD measured by a proper optometrist first. I just guessed at it and got ones a little too small, so they had a kind of fisheye effect.
Still, for <$30 it was a great bargain
That disc has super cow powers
I did something like that once. I noticed my sister’s wireless keyboard was still paired to her laptop, so every once in a while I’d hit the CAPS LOCK key.
I was suppressing laughter for about an hour until her temper boiled over and I had to come clean, as she was about to smash the laptop to bits!
Haha that reminds me of the time I helped my upstairs neighbors move. They were super annoying, always shouting over each other and leaving trash bags in the hot sun on their balcony, where the stink could waft into my open window.
I was very excited when I saw them packing their furniture, so I offed to help and we managed to finish it all in only one day. They didn’t catch on and just thought I was being nice! They even tried to pay me but I refused - being rid of them was payment enough
I think I read once that was due to outdated standards related to low resolution television sets. If too much text was on screen at once you couldn’t make it out on a standard definition TV. They kept doing it that way for a while after HD became ubiquitous just because that’s how they always did it.
I share your frustration though
