How about the random people harassed/shamed for the great sin of… spreading their legs on the bus? People were absolutely psychotic in their zeal to attack anyone they could for any reason they could conceive.

I’m responding to the person saying they miss when people had fun on TV. That doesn’t happen anymore because too many vindictive assholes feel empowered to ruin people’s lives without a second thought in our current culture.
Oh please. People were swinging that stick around blindly. Sure there were some legitimately bad actors hurt, but the damage it did to society as a whole has been incalculable, as every random idiot with a grudge felt empowered to wield it as a weapon against everyone around them.
Shame everyone got on a hardcore vindictive streak against every perceived ‘microagression’ a decade or so ago.

We treat the highly intelligent people who actually create these things as a disposable resource for business men to do with as they please, like Nicola Tesla.
I’ve actually dropped out of a high tech field because I was disgusted by how I saw some of the things made by our industry being misused. A friend of mine also left her field after witnessing how chasing money trumped actual rigorous science as simply a matter of course that everyone seemed to accept as a forgone conclusion.

This is a perfect example: Why are we transitioning to digital environments before we’re actually capable of securing them? Trying to answer that question can lead to wondering about ulterior motives.
If an airline lamented that they didn’t have enough skilled pilots for all of their flights, you’d have serious questions about why they’re attempting to fly planes without skilled pilots, but apparently in the digital world this doesn’t even raise people’s eyebrows.
The entire reason it became an insult was because of wealthy urbanites disparaging the working class.

The whole environment needs to be as clean as humans are capable of making it, utilizing the most advanced technology available, so every nanometer of the machine is in immaculate condition.
