Every commercial fuel recycling plant in existence releases large amounts of radioactivity into the air and water, so I dont really see them as a good alternative.
Here is a world map of iodine 129 before fukushima, its one of many radioactive isotopes released at nuclear reprocessing plants: https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/images/iupac/j_pac-2015-0703_fig_076.jpg The website where I got it from: https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/element/Iodine#section=Isotopes-in-Forensic-Science-and-Anthropology
Considering how long it would take to build safe reactors, how expensive it would be and how much radioactive contamination would be created both at the production of fuel and later when the storage ever goes wrong after thousands of years, I just dont see any reason to ever invest into it nowadays, when renewables and batteries have gotten so good.
Well, its legal now in Germany
Here in Germany, Corona Beer was never that big, so I guess the amount of people who bought it because they had just noticed it for the first time is higher than the amount of people who would have bought it but didnt because of the disease.
Boycotting Corona beer? Here in Germany I have heard that their sales went up when Corona happened.
Well, the drill bit wont fit if the hole is too long and thin, so its not always quite that easy.
Smaller companies still cant fire you any time, they have to have a valid reason as well.
Have you ever tried just pulling it back a little bit before you pee?
Thats what I do when its cold outside and I want to pee, but not on me.
When I was younger it sometimes looked like the whole room was gigantic (bigger than any building in existence) when I was laying in bed in the evening.
It made me feel kind of uneasy, but nowadays this happens very rarely to me.
I have (had) a few friends who communicate like this and its just annoying and exhausting. I am never planning anything again with them involved because they cannot state if they actually will or want to come.
Edge has started doing that too, whenever I download something from my Home Assistant instance while at home I have to rightclick and say that I really want to download it.
As long as such an option is available its not too bad.
Huh, I didnt even think about the word sea, as a non native English speaker I didnt think of it. I get the argument that the baltic sea and the Meditarranean are both seas and not oceans, but I looked it up too and, yeah the definitions flow into each other (lol). (Also, greetings from someone who lives a few kilometers away from the baltic sea).
The Meditarranean is also an ocean
Bike infrastructure is a good and cheap way to improve our planet in many ways, but it cant be the only thing we do to stop climate change, not even close. We will still need to heat our houses and produce products without emitting more CO2.
“No officer, I am not high, its impossible that I took LSD, since it isnt common in this area”
If only that would actually work.
I got it recently, so after a lot of bugfixing.
While I did encounter some small bugs, it really wasnt anything bad. Performance still isnt great, but it is playable and the game does look pretty good.
While the gameplay loop really isnt anything new, I think it was worth the 30€ I paid for it.
But, of course, it would have been much better if they would have released the game in the state it is now, both for us and for them and their image.
This isn’t realistic, the russian turret hasn’t flown at least 200 meters after the tank exploded.
Yeah, I invested in a 4070, I wish I could get a 4090 for that price.
I just want to play on my skill level, and not 5 ranks below.
It doesnt have anything to do with me tryharding, it just isnt fun when its the hardware that loses the game and not me.
What about having a life support system connected?
