  • Except that it’s not 2000 years ago anymore. Literally everyone knows about Christianity, hell and Jesus already. You’re not coming with some obscure new secret.

If they don’t believe it’s because they don’t want to, so please do leave them alone.

If they look interested instead, then yes of course help them out.

But going to them first and starting telling them how their soul will burn in hell for eternity is definitely not a nice thing to do to anyone. Nobody asked your opinion there.

If me and my group of 200 people believe that there is an evil invisible monster that will curse the soul of everyone unless they come to our church and listen to our priest once a week, would you like all 200 of them to come to you and tell you the same story all over again and again until you give up and go? No, I don’t think you’d like that.

It’s just a matter of respecting each other faith (or lack of) and personal freedom.

  • The guy still think that logic didn’t evolve past Aristotle and basic syllogisms, even after a couple of millenia, and argues about a supposed Socrates logic (?) that involves them (???)

They have no idea what they’re talking about other than some random information that they found online, probably. I wouldn’t expect any kind of real logical argument from there.

The funniest thing is that you showed them a perfect example of socratic reductio ad absurdum, but it completely flew over their head because they are too busy trying to argue about syllogisms…

  • In Italy cheese is absolutely not required, even if Margherita is the most common base so most pizzas have cheese. Even so, there are many types of pizza with no cheese, and many others with no tomato.

It’s also very common to see pizza farcita, which you can imagine as a pizza sandwich. For example a very common one is “pizza e mortazza” in Rome, which is a pure puzza with no topping but filled with mortadella (a type of ham). But various kinds of fillings are possible

Another example would be focaccia, most of them don’t have any cheese at all.

There is even sweet pizza with no cheese, for example pizza with Nutella

  • To add from what everyone is saying, the only real new system that you missed is strikes. Basically a 10 people single boss battle, like raids but without the filler and pre-events. Very puggable, especially what people call the easy 3 (shiverpeaks pass, voice/claw of the fallen, fraenir of jormag)

If you want to avoid story spoilers, be sure to follow the story until the end of the norn map of IBS before joining them.

EoD added a new mount, skiffs (boat), plus some new systems that you won’t find outside of those maps anyway, so don’t worry too much about it. But of course you need it to use the elite specs

The last expansion instead gave us new weapons without the traitline and unlocked elite specs’ weapons to be used regardless of the spec. To unlock all of that you need to play the expansion until a certain point tho. If you don’t have the skyscale in the expansion there is also a new way to get it that should be a bit faster

In general, there wasn’t any big shake to things, it’s mostly more of the same and some new side things. The only real difference is a bit of powecreep and that now every class can cover any role.

So take your time, play everything in order and all the new things will appear step by step

  • You suggested them to read Nietzsche and from it you got he mourns the decline of religion through all of his works? Maybe you should also get a re-read.

The decline of religion is stated as a fact, killed by men’s rationality and evolution. As any evolution it has opportunities and risks, in this case the bigger risk is the loss of morality.

But the only thing he clearly advocates for is overcoming religion and God because they are not needed anymore. The new Man should make its own meaning and rules.

It’s the whole concept of the übermensch which is the single central point of his all system.

The quote is not supposed to be his opinion (not directly at least), it’s a character in a story.

It’s like taking the stance of Cephalus in the Plato’s Republic and say it’s Plato’s opinion, while it’s clearly just a tool to let Socrates speak.

  • I love how people here try to put this in practical terms like “when you need to pay something 100 is better”. It’s infinite. Infinite. The whole universe is covered in bills. We all would probably be dead by suffocation. It makes no sense to try to think about the practicality of it. Infinite is infinite, they are the same amount of money, that’s all.

Oh, then I’m glad I’ve been helpful! Of course it doesn’t stop the yeast completely, but it hinders it.

About the oil, that’s interesting. Maybe it’s different in other countries because of different availability. Here in Italy it’s always used (similar amount to salt but 1~2% of the flour weight more compared to salt) Of course only extravirgin olive oil, not sure about the results with other oils

I usually add it last, after flour, salt, water and yeast.

Some pizzas also have some fresh oil on them after cooking, but dipping is too daring for my weak traditional heart.

But if the results aew good, that’s all that matters

Is there a reason why you’re not using oil for the dough? Also (probably you already do but I’ll say for people reading) never mix salt and yeast directly, one should be added only when the other is already absorbed and well mixed. Salt contrast yeast chemical reactions. A simple way is to melt salt in the water beforehand
