  • Of course he did bad things, he’s human, every great person has said, you learn and grow from your failures.

Apple’s iOS was far more polished than Android in the beginning. Hell, Apple’s iTunes Store paired with its iPods revolutionized the cell phone with the iPhone.

The lock-in has both pros and cons. Do i think it’s hard to move off of Apple once you’re in it? No not really, again they don’t own a monopoly in anything. They just provide a very polished experience in what they do aka “it just works.”

The only thing you can’t really transfer is one-time Apple App Store purchases.

Is it easy to switch from Gmail? Yes, creating a new email is easy, do you get the same benefits leaving the market leader? Most likely not…

  • Why is everyone so aggressive about history and facts? Please take your blind rage back to Reddit. This thread is about Steve Jobs, acting like he did not lead Apple to numerous successes is a bold face lie. You might not agree with his methods but that doesn’t mean he accomplished nothing.

Your example proves my point, the alternative, Google, is just as if not more evil than Apple… just because they allow third party stores and less lock-in does not mean their product is better. Each person can choose the product that suits their needs.

Your take feels incredibly aggressive. Most people do not want to tinker, they just want their tech to work… Regarding Steve Jobs, are you saying he did not steer Apple to a level of success and prosperity that 99% other companies dream of?

Your opinion of what is overpriced is just your opinion. Apples sales numbers says otherwise, they do not have a monopoly in any market they compete in.

  • Lol. You need a history lesson. Ukraine has signed numerous ceasefires every time they sign one, Russia rebuilds their military, and attacks again.

How many times do you need me to tell you, Putin and Russia’s word means jack shit. So why are you and Trump the peace keeper such a believer in Putin, when he is on record of not honoring his agreements?

Edit: you want peace, sell Ukraine some nukes. Watch how fast Russia comes to the table

  • Just because they’ve taken over 30% of Ukraine doesn’t mean they succeeded. This OPERATION was only supposed to last 3 days, we’re past 3 years now. They had to assassinate the head of Wagner because he was on his way to Moscow… I could go on and on but if you believe in peace and this war should’ve never started. Why are you blaming Zelenskyy instead of the world super powers who ripped up the treaties they signed with Ukraine to guarantee their security in exchange for their nukes?

  • Interesting take. Let’s try it another way, Putin can stop his war I mean 3 day turned 3 year special military operation today. The Russians have failed. His people keep dying, his country’s economy obliterated, his military stopped by a tiny ass country, needs prisoners and North Korean soldiers to fight his battles. Revealed to the world Russia is a petrol state with nukes not a super power. This war would never have started if Ukraine kept their nukes.

  • I’m not strawmanning anything. My initial message was the article is garbage, we don’t need to get rid of golf courses to have utility grade solar farms. Wind solar and golf courses can all coexist. Solar can be put on the roofs of the buildings they help power. Regardless attacking golf because rich people play golf is such a horrible position. Rich people play soccer and every other damn sport known to mankind. The even funnier point is if you’re in the US you are well are of the massive amount of land that is unused and available for your power company’s renewable energy endeavors. I can tell you right now, available land is not the issue. Clown.
