Yeah as everyone else said, nothing in the Internet is truly private.
That said, I believe the fediverse is better for preventing use of your data because no one server/instance has all the data. This makes it harder to track and use your data across servers/instances.

I’m partially affected because I use desktop + mobile (on third party app), but I’ve decided just to stop using reddit entirely.
Its quieter here, but I imagine it’ll pick up slowly. The slower pace also helps because I’ve been spending too much time on reddit.
Yeah I agree, at least the top 100 communities need to be synced across all instances or something. It’s not easy for someone to find content in their first hour here.
