https://money.cnn.com/2017/02/09/news/boris-johnson-us-citizenship/index.html
"Johnson wasn’t always happy being American. In 2015, he settled a U.S. tax bill that he had described as “absolutely outrageous.” Unlike most countries, the U.S. taxes its citizens on all income, no matter where it’s earned or where they live. The rules can sometimes result in surprise tax bills for Americans who live abroad. Johnson had initially refused to pay the bill, saying the IRS was “coming after him” for capital gains tax on the sale of his first London home. "

I’m currently traveling and really enjoying Against the Storm on the deck. Its easy to pop in for twenty minutes or just sink a couple hours into it. Runs super smooth on the deck.
The only thing I could find on F-droid was “LoopBoard” which seems to no longer be receiving updates.
This was my most played game for quite aong time. I can’t believe all of the content that was added since I gave up trying to win with 5 boss cells. Maybe its time to try again…
It works the same way in Germany. If you’re playing music in essentially any venue, even just on the radio, you pay a royalties fee. For places that do it everyday there is usually a flat yearly fee. At least here, a good chunk of that money does indeed fund other cultural endeavors.
Some stretches do have limits. But even where there are no speed limits there are suggested maximum limits. If you’re over that limit and have an accident (that normally might not be deemed your fault) you’re more likely to be held liable.
I finally started Frostpunk! Things were going so well…then the storm came, my people started freezing to death and executed me. Looking forward to starting another uplifting play through today!
The Joy of Cooking
The only game I ever rage quit! Never again :)
I still love my fairphone 3+. Had it for several years and have yet to need to do any repair or replacement. Pleasantly surprised and impressed! I also love that I can easily put a different OS on the phone (currently using e/os).
Whatever you do, don’t cross the streams!
I have the day off, on my way to get some tattoo work done. Good start to the week!
I don’t known if you’ve been paying attention to the SAG strike, but it’s been really eye opening for me! Of course it sucks to pay 10$ for an autograph from a millionaire, but I wouldn’t assume to know how much they all actually make from acting gigs.
I have a who is a screen actor and they often work for very little pay. Even a recurring character on a hit TV show might not even be making enough to afford health insurance.
This friend recently landed a small but important role in a movie that gained somewhat of a “cult” status after its release. The money he makes from selfies and autographs at conventions is sometimes the only money he earns that month. I can see why it disappoints fans, but I can also understand these actors who are just trying to stay afloat. Especially the Trek actors who often don’t seem to get much other work.
What about the newly conceived thorium reactors that use the nuclear “waste” (spent fuel) to create energy? I think nuclear as we know it might be out of date, but that doesn’t mean the technology can’tcontinued to develop in new and better ways.
Dead Cells! Playa great on Switch. Highly addictive.
