  • Exploring my body unfortunately causes quite a bit of dysphoria for me which is why I rarely used to do it in the first place, but maybe I’ll work with them on that issue first and then I can try exploring haha.

    You’re not a pervert, it’s great you can feel comfortable and enjoy yourself (as long as you’re not doing it in front of non-consenting parties…)


  • Y’all I’ve been too embarrassed to tell my therapist but the way I pulled myself out of a deep depression a few months ago was because I started masturbating regularly, which I had never done before. It’s not working very well anymore but now when I talk to them it’s like “oh well what were you doing differently last time you felt better?” Idk man, it’s a mystery.







  • For short term relief/emotional regulation my counsellor taught me TIPP Temperature - cold water/ice/object to lower heart rate Intense exercise - a few mins of jumping jacks/running on the spot/shaking it off Paced breathing/box breathing Paired muscle relaxation - tense and relax different muscle groups

    When I’m anxious I tend to get overactive so the ones that help me most are splashing cold water on my face and the intense exercise.

    Anxiety during bedtime or if I have time during the day, ASMR or a well paced peaceful podcast also do the trick.

    I think I will try the slower speed music, that sounds interesting.







  • Yes there are so many indigenous cultures (certainly every one I’ve learned about in Canada) that are literally about working together with the earth and in balance with the earth. Steve Irwin was a wonderful person but imagine all the wiped out or nearly wiped out cultures where this was or continues to be literally their way of existing in the world, and they were dismissed for so long as “savages” for their relationship with nature.
