We’re is this technology related? It’s completely political - something I don’t want to see, but now also technology cannot be followed anymore, as most things here are political news with a tech keyword in the headline sadly :/

I guess it’s training. In german we have a word for it that translates to “media competence”, something way not enough people have.

It contains several things (some already mentioned before):

• learn how to search, good and bad phrases, etc.
• over read all the pages that look like crap (only gained from experience)
• never trust one source, always double check, maybe with a different search engine

It hardly depends on the topic you want to research and mostly depends on experience.

With some experience in development you some day know the sites that have good content for specific topics but yeah its hard…

There are some good working add-ons for browsers that do that for you. our only need to manage the list and the add-ons do the rest.

I e.g. block all the crap shops…
