I’m really, really fucking tired of ERB reducing complex sociopolitical talking points to two crackerized talking head caricatures rapping at each other. I have no problem with the concept, but ever since the Guy Fawkes vs Che Guevara rap battle, I’ve mostly sworn off ERB, and the Rasputin vs Stalin rap was shit too.

Part of me wants to watch this, but another part of me knows what the comments will be like.

Same here. I believe that since no one can consent to being born, it makes sense that people are allowed to go out on their own terms, and I think in a socialist society, euthanasia should be enshrined in law. I think it’s selfish to force someone to live just because you would be sad if they died.

But I of course don’t want that to be a popular option, and I think a combination of therapy, medication, changing material conditions, interventions by loved ones, and every other accommodation should be made to dissuade people from taking their own life, and of course people who have dependents should have a responsibility to take care of them or have someone else take over their role from them before they off themselves.

I’d also argue that in a socialist and full communist society, the suicide rate would be almost zero anyway.

I keep seeing the argument that the USSR decriminalizing homosexuality as being a by-product of getting rid of the Tsarist legal system, and while I could very well be wrong, and that may have played a part, I don’t buy it at face value. The USSR didn’t get rid of every single Tsarist vestige for the sake of it, such as the reprisal of the Gulag system. I think decriminalizing homosexuality was a concerted effort.

I feel like the Superman from the new animated series would catch onto the problem.

I understand/hope that most of us are just meme-ing when we say that crakkkers aren’t innocent, which while very true, sometimes I get a little uncomfortable that some people might use this as an excuse to attack or shoot random white people for no reason and claim its colonial resistance.

Speaking as a person of Latino heritage, with a bit of Indigenous blood, I’d rather limit civilian casualties to a minimum. I agree with your overall sentiment, that civilians aren’t innocent in settler-colonial projects, and are part of the problem, and play an unfortunate part in colonialist violence against oppressed peoples, and I wouldn’t tell oppressed peoples how to wage armed resistance if they are achieving good results.

I’m just saying that as much as I hate many bourgeois Amerikkkrakers, I wouldn’t want them to be killed unless absolutely necessary. Though the fog of conflict often breeds confusion and tragedy.
