You think if Shanahan gets fired the players will have killer instinct and a hate to lose mentality? If so, I have bad news for you…
I was implying that the lack of secondary scoring shouldn’t be that big of a concern when the whole team had trouble scoring. Even their “best” players barely scored. In particular, 1 power play goal is a problem and the bottom six generally aren’t part of that.
You know what could get them to work well together? A new coach. Here’s hoping.
No secondary scoring? They barely had primary scoring. Nylander had 3 goals. Then it was Knies with 2 and a bunch of players with 1, including the rest of the “core four”
I agree with you for the most part and think the same group of players under a different system and set of coaches could do better.
The one change I will say we definitely need is in net. I like Samsonov overall, but he is too inconsistent and I’m not sure that can be coached out of him. Woll has looked promising, but the guy has injured himself more than once now making/attempting to make saves that didn’t look like they should have been that bad.
I don’t want to see many changes. There is a need for a new goalie. I would be ok with Samsonov as a #2. I like Woll, but he is definitely too injury prone. They need a defenseman to do what they got Klingberg for. There is no dangerous point shot player on the team. There will definitely be a new coach coming in. Hopefully that works out to be someone that can really work with the team. It is a solid group.
Which ones are you thinking? Bertuzzi and Domi had 4 points each in the playoffs. Domi took some dumb penalties, but you can hardly say he didn’t do much.
Tavares unfortunately gets a lot of criticism because of what he’s paid. Sure, he gets paid more than he should, but he’s still a solid player.
There are little things he does that go without credit like shooting the puck into the offensive zone from the Leafs side of center ice enough to get the team a change, but not enough for icing. He’s also good a keeping pressure on in the offensive zone.
There’s a decent chance. Possibly Keefe’s last game too. The rest of the coaching staff can go too.
The “system” the Leafs play is not working and they don’t seem capable of adapting. I’m confident many of the players are capable and would do well on another team. We’ve seen it plenty of times before. I might track how much of the power play the Leafs spend in their own zone on the power play next game waiting for the perfect opportunity to break out/in and then failing to do so.
Rough game. Boston definitely outplayed Toronto. However, there were also some penalties called against Toronto and equivalent plays missed/not called when Boston should have gotten a penalty. Here’s hoping for a better game 2
Private clinics are also over charging for things and/or charging for things that are otherwise covered in Ontario. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/london/private-clinic-charging-thousands-ontario-health-coalition-1.7175630
I don’t understand Keefe. Disclaimer - I didn’t watch the full game, but watched the 3rd period and the full game recap from the NHL.
Tavares:
The goals against included a couple of odd man rushes, with the 5th New Jersey goal being a brutal pass/giveaway by Domi.
The Leafs out-shot the Devils 45-25 and Allen made some fantastic saves. Offense was not their problem.
How is it that Tavares is one of the guys to get called out?
Easy to say when you know this and aren’t in a sinking car.
That’s mainly the internet, not just Lemmy
People would be able to see you filming and maybe decide not to use that machine
“Not me, so I don’t care who gets shot” great attitude
They got rid of licence plate renewal fees. I think that was incredibly stupid. For the record, I didn’t like paying for it, but that was consistent easy money for the government
Comparing any of the services or applications that Google has created to a file format is not a fair comparison at all.
That outage had nothing to do with Canadian infrastructure. It was caused by a maintenance upgrade that Rogers was doing.
Unless you’re saying everyone should have backup internet connections. I’d be surprised to learn if any country has that. Given the size of Canada, that’s a lot of work to get that in place.
