Sure I’m sympathetic to that argument. I’ve recently looked up lists of some of the people that most likely were found innocent post execution.

But what if we had stricter criteria. What about the people we are absolutely certain, with witnesses and camera footage, are guilty of murder? I’m specifically thinking of people like Nikolas Cruz, a school shooter who killed 17?

It is about vengeance and also about not perpetually providing room and board for someone who lost their rights when they decided to take someone else’s rights to life away.

Edit: why would they have an inalienable right to life, even if it is a meager life in prison, if they decided they can takeinnocent people’s lives for their own deranged reasons?

What I’m really trying to say is the belligerent force that enacted October 7th (a very purposeful targeting of unarmed civilians), has been commiting war crimes against civilians for decades (undirected Jerry rigged missiles), has lost several wars, has used child and adult suicide bombers, and rejected every peace proposal offered, is responsible for the slaughter of Palestinian civilians. And that is Hamas.

Why is one side held to a higher standard when the other side in only capable of acting like deranged animals? Literally anything you can accuse Israel of, Hamas has done worse.

I doubt the courts actually did that in the majority of those cases. There could be something said about the criteria used for who’s eligible for execution.

For example some good candidates would be any number of mass shooters still alive in max security prison. These people have dozens of witnesses and security cam footage, and are beyond a reasonable doubt guilty and should be offed.

Therefore Trump wins. Abstaining is still an action, and still has an effect as much as you want to be above it all on your moral high horse.
