I actually feel the opposite about those two series. Foundation series diverges from the books in a really fun and welcome way. Silo series felt pretty watered down from the books.

Another one that gets me is “portal”. I’m often asked to create a this portal or that portal, but once I finally get them to describe the requirements it’s just a standard web form or static web page.

Apparently it stands for Computer, I guess to distinguish them from TTRPGs. Had to Google it because they never bothered to spell out the initialized term in the article.
