I’m so sorry that happened to you.
I really tend to hate the parents’ rights crowds. Children deserve rights and knowledge and community.

I read most of that (think I missed the last few chapters, but he was out of Elan and had done some traveling)–it was horrifying. There’s also a 3 episode documentary on Netflix called “The Program” where the documentary maker revisits the now closed school where she went (The Academy at Ivy Ridge) and by episode 3, she’s followed the money to one family behind a lot of these institutions. But as she and former AaIR students actually see other facilities far from where they were locked up, they’re all carbon copies of each other, they’re all just the same punish-for-everything camps with no escape. Fucked up that there’s like a formal recipe for how to do this to families and not get caught. And that there are so few legal protections for children.
That social unrest though… It’s lumped in with crime, but it’s so real.
Mine has a lot of services offered, ie massages, pedicures, barbers, tattoo parlor. Selling stuff isn’t enough.
Wait till they demand contractor rates!
Yeah, black kids don’t need the help of white kids to succeed. They need their schools funded as if rich white children went to them though.
Also, school isn’t just about success, it’s about learning to live in a society, one which isn’t just a monoculture. Hard to learn to live together (for all kinds of races & identities) spending entire childhoods separated.
I can appreciate that approach. But the biggest problems I have are when they nest in the railing of my little wooden deck. Every year it’s the same fight. So I’m a little leery of using fire.
Lol, not while I’m holding the bottle.
But seriously, where are the drones made specifically to spray stuff on wasp nests? I wouldn’t feel the need to use the foaming, bad stuff that hurts the bees if I could try a robot applying something like this. Or at least if it sprayed foam, it could be in significantly smaller amounts, much closer the the nest of trouble.
Our Albertson’s (including most Safeway brands) in my region want to merge with the Kroger brand stores. They say it’ll be good for customers. 🙄
And that skipping KILLED the batteries.
But of course the only fitting punishment for eating a bad piece of fruit is eternal parental abandonment. And childbirth that fucking kills women, cuz she did it first, so all shes deserve it more.
Yeah, I briefly knew a guy who grew up in that group. The logic behind the no-name thing, according to him, was “we know who we are, why do we need to put a name on it for others?” It did sound very insular, very secretive, got a lot of volun-told vibes.
I’ve had female relatives mad when the churches they attended started letting women vote in church matters. So I’m guessing about like that. Self hate is such a warm little cocoon once you cut off the parts of yourself that it demands.
But if everyone is naked, the poor boys will be distracted. I mean, they already veer off course when shoulders are out. I guess the only appropriate solution is to not have the girls at (naked) school. /s
Probably something like this
Yeah, conveniently that’s about the time that it got real offensive to be openly racist. Closet racists hated abortions as the new code. Then kids grew up learning AbOrTiOn StOpS a BeAtInG hEaRt and that it’s always murder. And here we are.
I would love to see fish ladders implemented all the way up into Canada. I know it will be a challenge to build past the Grand Coulee dam because it’s such a big structure. But it’s sure worth a push to help restore salmon to the habitats.
