I’m working my way through “Way of Kings” right now. I haven’t had much time for reading lately, so it’s going slow, but the book is fantastic.

You know I’d glady share a drink with you in that day. It’d mean that there’s still some hope left in this world.

I really want to see something come of this and I have a sliver of hope that it will, but I’m too tired to get excited about it.

Love the UI, however when I go to another community from the homepage I cannot get it to go back to homepage (without clicking the Lemmy.world banner top left). The back button changes the URL to the previous page, but the page itself stays on whatever community I opened.

The whole south is a joke. Louisiana elected a racist shit cop whole people thought was badass cause he’d make some little gravy seal news clips calling out gangs.

I’m reading Way of Kings right now, as well as back through the Harry Potter Series (just finished POA). Way of Kings is amazing.

Good luck, I really hope you enjoy them. I wanted to enjoy them so badly, but I can’t stand his writing.

Mine was the Elric Series by Michael Moorcock. It’s the only book I’ve ever returned. I went back and tried to re-read the series years later and they are such a jumbled mess of things happening for no reason just to progress a plot that I couldn’t stand them.

I made it to almost the end of the series and then out of nowhere it switches to the most boring flashback for an entire book. I couldn’t slog through it and have never looked at the series again.
