They charm you, and once you’re charmed they can heal when they hit you next.

I swear this was posted verbatim exactly one year ago.
You’re complaining about a harmless cute easter egg that changes a simple food item into another food item, for a tiny window of time. Seems kind of silly to worry about it.
Rat king crown upgrade is the only true answer.
Is rotberry still infinitely replantable? I forgot about that, never bothered to use it that way
Good meme.
What a fun run! Been a while since I tried this, good to know you can still pull it off.
Why does black get to go first? 1. E5? (good meme though)
There was an incomplete “disguised” buff in the game that gave you glasses and a mustache. It was supposed to make you into another class, but I don’t remember if it actually did anything.
Show me those fingers first!
With respect to Bulk, I believe it used to be that the Stone glyph and Bulk curse were one and the same, and set up as a curse. It was later updated so that the positive and negative traits were separated from each other.
You know it would be cool if the Bulk curse gave you extra inventory slots or something, that would be interesting.
I haven’t used it much but I could see it being really useful in berserker builds. Also pair it with a ring of accuracy and you could have a pretty good setup.
Also champion build, could be useful shield + flail combo. The duelist’s ability on the flail also negates the issue of the accuracy penalty (guaranteed hit) while also providing extra damage, which seems insane because at high levels, this is the highest damaging weapon in the game. Keep in mind too with champion build you can swap to the other weapon to sneak attack if need be.
I think I’ll give it a try at least on my next run.
Now, what’s the goofiest way to defeat Yog with this insane haul? Unlimited scrolls of Anti-Magic? Enthrall all the larvae and ripper demons with siren’s song as soon as they spawn? Just chuck an endless stream of holy bombs? The possibilities are endless!
Upgraded heavy boomerang as huntress sniper with the bow augmented for damage.
Damage augment sniper shots take 2 turns, which is the exact amount of time it takes for the heavy boomerang to return. Yog becomes the easiest boss fight ever with this strat.
Honourable mention: Assassin build with the whip is insanely good. Get a ring of haste and you’re basically unstoppable.
That’s a neat sprite. Can’t wait to see this!
Nope. Zionism only truly started to gain traction at the end of the 19th century and Israel only really began to take shape after the Balfour Declaration in 1917. Prior to this, Palestine was the territory of the Ottoman Empire, and before that it was (for the most part) the territory of various Islamic Caliphates.
The modern conflict we see today can be traced back to the Palestine War (1947-1949) and its aftermath. So yeah, 50+ years is pretty accurate. Saying it’s been going on for thousands of years is a common misconception. Some people try to perpetuate that misconception in bad faith to conceal the fact that this whole thing started because colonial powers stuck their business into a situation where it didn’t belong.
Ehhh, I’ve always avoided fire based attacks because they cause too many issues. They burn up grass, doors, meat, and scrolls (except SOU). Basically the result is you lose most of your ability to surprise attack and hide from ranged enemies, and you lose some useful items. That can be a death sentence in challenge runs.
I managed to make it work (the damage buff is insane) but it was pretty heartbreaking to see a scroll of transmutation go up in flames, for example.
Chilling isn’t all bad. It does disrupt fire (you could also say fire attacks disrupt chilling), but being able to slow enemies is really powerful in its own way (augment for damage, kite enemies, etc.). WOC is definitely weaker than WOF though because you can’t hit multiple targets and you can’t freeze (paralyze) enemies no matter how many upgrades you sink in.
Oh man I’ve wanted to do this with T1 throwing weapons for so long. Nice one!
Seems like something you’ll only be able to do with the right equipment. Maybe try stocking up on haste potions or shrouded fog, or have an artifact like the hourglass or chains to help avoid the rocks better.
