A very Toronto doggo I must say
This is incredible, well done!
I feel like that’s a common trend in modern media, a lot of remakes and alternate versions of the same story. Like they are bringing back Harry Potter as a series, and they are doing a peter pan and Wendy thing as well. Seems like there aren’t a ton of original things that are getting these big budgets. Not saying there aren’t original things coming out, they don’t seem to be what the Hollywood “default” is at the moment
A’Tuin gang represent!
I love how sinister this comes off.
Roald Dahl’s books (most) have such dark undertones, this picture feels so in universe I love it
It’s just a word document with what I’ve done/ who I’ve talked to as different points. Sometimess something will have more meat so I’ll give that one bullet points to speak more about it. At the end of the day, it’s not for anyone other than yourself so what you write whether formal or shorthand, is up to you. I type mine a little bit more formally, it helps me be more specific and ramble less of that makes sense. It also allows me to be able to pull it up and read almost word for word if someone asks " what did you get up to today"
Don’t know if that’s helpful at all, but that’s how Ive been doing it!
Lmao this reads like Warhammer 40K lore, it’s amazing
My thoughts exactly, this is still generating a lot of traffic for reddit, and more proves the point that it doesn’t matter what they pull, as long as they do some cool stuff that only happens on Reddit, people will still go. Maybe using place for advertising the fediverse would be better but even then, still using the system. Don’t know the answer, just not sure this is as effective as we would hope.
I do love the visual protest, but do you not have to go on Reddit to access space? Still giving them lot’s of traffic for the sake of something that may not even appear on the admins radar just seems a little ineffective. Again, love the protest, I just wonder about its efficacy.
I’ve actually started a work journal to catalogue what I do in a day. I find I do a lot of things outside of my job description so I started journaling it as a way to see what I do and what I’m “supposed to”
I think it’s really helped me with my overall memory. I’m still pretty forgetful, but I’ve genuinely been getting better at remembering things which is super nice for me (and my partner ahah)
USSR no longer exists is why he said was, but Russia probably still does it yeah
Arkngthand gang gang
Slice and Dice is a solid phone game, easy time waster and a lot of fun rolling some dice to kill some baddies. In general though I do think they are quite trash, but ports and emulators are probably the best option
Couldn’t agree more, I use psychadelics a few times a year, and nothing brings be to that same feeling OP was describing like LSD or mushrooms. Some of the best conversations and experiences I’ve ever had agave been on psychedelics, I laugh till I cry almost everytime I’ve done them. have had bad trips in my life, but I feel like Set and Setting are hugley important as well as having respect for the drug. Overall highly recommend.
Yeah I’m here from RIF on connect, feels good. Still missing a few things, like I don’t have a “hot” filter, I seem to be seeing a lot of the same posts. But over all after the past two weeks of using Lemmy, I’m happy to be away from Reddit
Have they not threatened the communities with scabs as well? Like “if you don’t mod this, we will find someone who will”. The whole thing just seems super toxic and I really feel for the mods who genuinely cared and cultivated their subreddits. A lot of time and effort to be put into something for it to be thrown in their face for the sake of money.
I’m reading Deaths End the 3rd book in the “Three Body Problem” series.
Some of the best sci-fi I’ve ever read, super unique ideas, I was blown away with some of the concepts in this series.
