Only possible argument out there is that Chuck Schumer was somehow worried about the people who were going to have to live without a paycheck until the government was funded . But by giving in and funding the government without making Trump provide some sort of concession to Elon Musk’s role, those people are all at risk anyway, so I don’t know why Chuck chose to capitulate unless he’s being blackmailed or he was bought off

Just to drive home the point on how horrible this person is being treated right now, This is exactly how terrorist in Afghanistan would’ve treated a person that had turned on Al-Qaeda or the Taliban. They isolate them. They don’t give them any information. They don’t give them the opportunity to know why they’ve been detained. They have no access to family members or to correspond with an attorney.
After 24 hours, I bet that student was terrified out of his mind.
This just isn’t right we can’t let the federal government detain people just because they feel like it without giving us a lawyer and A warrant or cause for arrest.

I have a really great friend who deployed with me so Iraq the second time, while we run patrol near Baghdad, he stepped on some sort of explosive device, and it blew both his legs below the knee off, and he lost three of the five fingers on his left hand. He gets 100% VA disability and SSI from Social Security but he’ll never be able to pull his own boots straps up again. those are the kind of people. I’m most worried about when they talk about eliminating and cutting Social Security. 
Wouldn’t the ultra wealthily have more wealth if the 90% of Americans could afford to buy more than just the basics + rent/utilities?
This one time in College I got a 13 mile an hour speeding ticket in a school zone, but the sign wasn’t flashing so I thought 35 was the limit, not 25. I contested the ticket, and got a court date, but forgot to show up, within 24 hours I was arrested and taken to the slammer until i paid them the 150 dollars…that was one fucking speeding ticket.
Justice must be done for EVERYONE!!!
Or his friends…who I think should be willing accomplices, or accomplices after the fact and be prosecuted ASAP.

I’m afraid for people with disabilities too. Cutting SSI (Social Security money given to people who cannot work but are under the age of retirement). I’m worried that Trump will label these people as a drain on our communities and they took will be harassed, laid off, marginalized, imprisoned…and so fourth.

For almost a better part of a decade, Donald Trump has been yelling and screaming about how immigrants are ruining America, and in his first administration, he tried to implement a travel ban blocking out people from the Middle East. Why the fuck would you think that voting for him would be a good idea if you have a family member who isn’t white ?
