The problem is that this is a megacorp tactic designed to keep up with the massive turnover shit companies have. Mom and pop shops don’t have this problem when they treat employees with even basic levels of respect.
The cool thing about science is that it doesn’t need your belief to work. It’s built on evidence instead of faith.
Buddy has been my go to sleep aid for years. After long enough, some of it starts to stick.
Louder for the moron publicly outing his own scummy industry practices.
We had something similar out here where a black family felt their home evaluation was really low when they were getting ready to sell so they had a white couple “show” the home to a different evaluator from the same company and surprise surprise the estimated value was like 30% higher for the white couple.
Basic empathy is a requirement of being a functional person.
Not a job, not forcing yourself to be around other people, not owning a house, none of that shit.
You are valid so long as you recognize that every person matters. Anything less is to be inhuman.

Clearly they were already punished, and inappropriately so. Nobody “taught” the students to act like little sociopaths in the same way nobody “teaches” your puppy to shit on the floor. This is, in fact, the direct result of a lacking education. This education is not taught in schools outside maybe pre-k, as children are expected to act civilly in a classroom, let alone middle schoolers.
Idiocracy packaged as an accurate history of the most powerful species on the planet.
This isn’t 2+2=5. It’s not forgetting to pay for your groceries one time. It’s not even tying your shoe laces in a knot instead of a nice bow. Those are mistakes.
This is a group of kids setting out to humiliate and potentially incriminate teachers at their school for apparently no good goddamn reason according to this article. This is a group of sociopaths failed by their parents. Yes, the children should be punished. The parents should also be punished. Idk how that punishment should go, but IMHO it should involve mandatory community service at a soup kitchen every weekend for a year or two.
He’s not talking about obedience, he’s talking about liability. There’s a difference between raising your kid to take out the garbage on command and raising them to be functional people. These parents failed that second aspect. And yes, they are in fact responsible for letting their little sociopaths out of the house.
Clearly the only measured response available is to glass the entire middle east from turkey to Yemen and leave nothing behind.
The problem with rivers on plains is that they wander. Take a gander at the Mississippi River river valley sometime. Why hasn’t the mighty Mississippi carved a canyon yet? Because there has been no uplift to lock the river in place for long enough. The Colorado cut the grand canyon because the plains on which that river used to wander began to uplift. This started the cut. The faster the uplift, the faster the cut. Nick has another one on the hells canyon geology that showcases this really well. Hells canyon is deeper than the grand canyon while being only half the age.

The other part you’re talking about is massive erosion, and frankly the vast majority of rivers just don’t have the energy to do that. You’d need APOCALYPTIC amounts of water to carve canyons like that. That kind of canyon is called a coulee, and was formed during the last ice age floods. Nick does a LOT of ice age flood stuff too. He does a whole breakdown of how rivers have moved and interacted through the geological changes in the PNW over the last very very long goddamn time.

Fascinating that the riverbeds of the past can be the mountaintops of today.
Nah the rockies were made by continental drift. Kind of. It’s complicated.
I’m surprised people keep mentioning Gavin. As a Californian, it’s always been glaringly obvious that Gavin got gissues.
Wait till you hear about Christians.
I enjoyed gwent in Witcher 3 more than the story tbh. Did not enjoy the standalone gwent spinoff they eventually made.
I kind of have the same gripe about Minecraft as you do about Stardew. Not only is it stupid, but it looks like utter shit. The only redeeming quality is being able to do stupid shit in a virtual space with friends. Gmod does all that and more, except better in every way that matters.
It’s a money grinding sim for sure. They’ve added a LOT of content but a bunch of it is gated behind their “expeditions” mechanic. I always get discouraged when I log on and see how much stuff I missed and just can’t get because I didn’t log on between x and y dates. Even the things you can buy if you missed an expedition have their own monetary system where you’re limited by missions which are occasionally still bugged to hell.
