I use a quest 1 on Linux.(According to the alvr the quest 3 is also fully supported) Played about the last half of half life on Linux.

However some VR games just don’t run well under proton I still have windows installed for that. Even if i didn’t boot into windows for a half year now.

Also first recommend installing Linux in dual boot with windows if you don’t know if al your programs/games work. Nowadays most stuff works but you can always keep windows for just in case.

Most card only shops/places have a sticker on there door. But as a non Dutch person you probably don’t know how they look.

If you are somewhere where card or cash is not always accepted it’s pretty normal to ask beforehand. Past summer we where on holiday in the Balkan where paying with card wasn’t always possible. We just ask beforehand then we can check if we had enough cash or we choice to go somewhere else.

If you in a situation (especially in a bar) there is probably someone how is willing to pay for you with card and you pay them with cash. You maybe don’t get all the change but you problem is fixed. Or how it was fixed now.

But if you are abroad and don’t know it just ask beforehand. Doesn’t matter if you want to pay with card or cash.

But yeah we now have new discussions in Congress if umvolkung/the great replacement theory is a fact or if it a fascist conspiracy theory. According to the cabinet it’s a fact and you can be minister and believe in it. (For example the minister that’s decideds about immigration)

Same as all liberals they rather protect capital and work together extreme right parties. Then giving some crumbs to the left.

Same happened in the Netherlands with the vvd and nsc. They are now in a cabinet with extreem right(wich the media isn’t called extreme right any more but radical right) and in the senaat they will be working together with the FvD (a (proto) fascist party) and the sgp a extreme christian party.

He now hopes the left voters are so scared they vote for him and when he doesn’t get a majority his party will work together with extreme right.

I use ardour as DAW, but only for recording on Linux. It’s also available for macOS and windows. So you can check if it fits your work flow.

I mostly only use Linux, but sometimes you just need a program with out support. In my case it’s sometimes qlab, Linux show player is great(and I have used it for many shows). But it’s not feature compatibel with qlab

Even if something like proxmox or a Debian install with docker is more customizable. It’s a steep learning curve.

But isn’t something like truenas scale a option? I run Emby(as my media Server) and the arr’s on it. All the apps are already in the “software store” including plex. And setup of the arr’s is just the same as normal. All installs are basically automatic.

I easy passthrough my intel gpu in the config page on the webportaal, but don’t how easy it is for Nvidia or amd. Especially with Nvidia due to drivers. But maybe someone here knows?

I still use my PS3, enough great and cheap games and can play my PS1 and 2 games on the big screen with wireless controllers.

Newer games I play on PC anyways.

Dan was er direct na het pers moment wel een rel gekomen. Nu liep ie nog mee met de vlaggen ronde bij de opening van de repetitie.

Decor werd al neergezet voor zijn optreden en opeens moest het spul van Israël er staan en werd zijn optreden geschrapt.

Er gaan natuurlijk veel dingen rond, ben echt benieuwd wat nou het incident is. Lijkt mij niet het “why not” verhaal.

I think that in the Android kernel (for your device) there are binary blobs for hardware drivers. Which are not in mainline and most of the times not even available anywhere.

As someone how yesterday got home 3 pallets and 4 pallet collar’s in a Twingo. I disagree.

You don’t want to do that every day for work, but in a pinch small cars fit enough. Need more room for a project at home? Get a cart. My Twingo can tow a light cart. That’s 99% of all use cases for me.

Need even more rent a van. We did that with moving houses and it fits so much more then a pickup.

I really think 99% of people will be fine with a small car and a hinge. You get pretty good mileage and a small car that is not a dead trap for everybody outside. Even small ev’s are great for that.

I made some posters in krita for work. Worked okay. Just make sure you start with the good ratio in px for printing.

I always try to drive in QHD at 144 fps. At 720p you don’t have enough resolution to see all the bicycles on time.

I know some Linux users trash talk Nvidia on Linux like it just a piece of shit. But it’s simply okay. Don’t get me wrong it’s not great. But it works.

But if you have a simple setup it will probably work. My SO PC has a rtx 2060 and one monitor and it works fine.

You can of course always dual boot. I still have windows for VR gaming and just in case. I do recommend a stable os with Nvidia (especially if you just starting out with Linux). Something like pop os. Don’t go with arch just for the meme.

With dual booting you can try Linux and test if it’s okay for you. If not just give the disk space back to windows. If not great keep using Linux.

Not op but also don’t have a steamdeck, but my tv setup is also reported as steamdeck. I use Chimera OS on my PC connected to my living room tv.

It uses just some old parts left over a 4 gen i5 and a Rx 470.

If in the future it ever gets good support for gui’s and is stable. For sure gone try Qlab.

It’s simple the best show control software I tried yet. But for now I will be using Linux show player or borrow a MacBook.
