PC Patch Notes for 7/18/24

General:

• Resolved an issue with the Credence’s Starship Trait, Surplus Supply, which was not correctly restricting nearby affected targets to Player Only.
• Resolved an issue on the Kelvin Timeline Constitution II Intel Cruiser regarding the hull registry textures missing.
• Resolved an issue with the Mirror Crossfield (Open Shuttlebay) having Starfleet insignia instead of Terran Empire insignia.
• Resolved an issue with the Kelvin Timeline Vengeance Intel Dreadnought Cruiser’s saucer spotlights that caused them to look incorrect when viewed at certain angles.

I don’t think you need to watch Discovery to enjoy Strange New Worlds. There might be a few things established in the lore/backstory from Discovery, but any “confusion” from those references will quickly dissipate. SNW makes it easy to see it as a distinct show in a new/expanded telling of a known crew/time.

I will add that there will be stylistic choices in the production that will take a little getting used to, but remember that just about every Star Trek show has done this. Enjoy the story!

• Resolved an issue that caused some captains to lose access to faction locked costume pieces after using a Captain Alteration Token. Captains who were affected by this issue should now have access to the correct costume pieces for their faction.
• Resolved an issue that was preventing the Herald Antiproton Weapons from the “Demon Hunting” Event from being available on the Event Reclaim Store.
• Resolved an issue that prevented captains from putting the “Type 14 Shuttlecraft” and the “Federation Shuttlecraft (DSC)” vanity pet items into their bank inventory.

Known Issues:

• We are still working on issues with the Captain Alteration Token and as such, we have temporarily disabled the ability to purchase or use a Captain Alteration Token. We will return the feature when we have a satisfactory fix for the issues.
• Currently there is no daily event timer visible for the “Delete Alt Control” event. This is just a visual issue and the daily event timer should function normally.

General:

• The Exeter variant of the Cruiser family has been totally remastered. Its model has been rebuilt to Star Trek Online’s current visual standard and its material has been updated to use the Odyssey hull and windows materials. All ships in the Cruiser family now have access to the Odyssey hull and window options as well. As with all remasters, this update is free to everyone who owns the skin. Simply ready a ship in the cruiser family and apply the Exeter template in the ship customization interface to see the changes.
• Resolved an issue that was causing the Item Tooltips to disappear from the Tier 5 Dyson Console Set items, when equipping 3 or 4 pieces of their Set.

Star Trek Online is releasing a brand new Task Force Operation with the launch of Star Trek Online: Unparalleled! Called “Borg Battle Royale,” this TFO will charge you with facing increasingly difficult waves of Borg, and see how long you can survive. Similar to both the Kobayashi Maru and Arena of Sompek TFOs, the event version of this TFO will end at a predetermined point – level 7. However, once the event is over, the TFO will have no set end, and Captains will see how long they can last against the Federation’s ultimate enemy. Ready your resistance.

• The U.S.S. Resolute, the hero ship of Star Trek: Resurgence, will be available to Star Trek Online captains for free
