This is the thing that boggles my mind about the “wait times” argument. Like, it’s better that people should die without healthcare than… for me to be inconvenienced with a potentially longer wait time for non-emergency care? Really? The selfishness of it is astonishing.
I once had to wait 15 months to see a neurologist. 15 months. We already have long wait times here in the US, but we like to spice it up with a little bankruptcy.

I’m a nurse. We usually recommend at least 350 calories, but ideally with a meal, but it also depends on the medication. For some, it’s to slow how quickly the medication is absorbed and/or reduce side effects, and isn’t necessary for the medication to work (e.g., stimulants, some antidepressants). For others, taking with food is necessary for the medication to be absorbed effectively so that it works (e.g., Latuda, used to treat mood and psychotic disorders).

I’m not optimistic about her winning - this is Tennessee, after all. Outside of Nashville and Memphis, it’s a sea of painful ignorance and R voters. Even relatively purple places like Knoxville can’t seem to elect anyone other than R’s who are hellbent on destroying civil society for no particular reason - the pro-wrestler mayor dismantled the county health department in the middle of the pandemic, for crying out loud. And people applauded him for it!

Eh? I see propaganda accusations all the time, with widely varying degrees of veracity or baselessness, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen the left accused specifically of hate speech. I will admit that I don’t tend to frequent right-leaning opinion outlets, and so may be simply ignorant, but can you provide an example?
The people who are that severely damaged by drugs* are a small percentage. I’ve only seen a handful who got that bad because of drugs (I’m a professional in the field). Most addicts can benefit from appropriate care and could become functional members of society again if they had proper support - which our system grossly lacks.
*Most cases of persistent psychosis aren’t drug-induced; most of those throwing feces have psychosis from some other cause, which can also be treated with varying levels of success. Drug-induced psychosis is most of the time transient, and subsides as the drug wears off.
What are your thoughts on maintenance therapy and medical detox, i.e. with Suboxone?

There’s Midair 2 Community Edition, or something like that, which you can find on Steam. Join their Discord channel and you can probably get a playtest key. It looks like it’s just going to be little more than the LT mod with cosmetic micro transactions though, which are the opposite of anything I liked about Tribes… But jet packs and skiing are there, so I’ll play it at least a little.
Private browser mode in many browsers disables plugins by default, and also doesn’t do anything to stop trackers or data collection. All private mode does is keep your activity private from others who also have access to your device (e.g. family members, roommates), by not saving browser history/cookies/etc.
Also, VPN’s can be helpful, but there are ways to “fingerprint” individual users behind VPN’s by how they move their mouse and click speed and what websites they visit etc… I imagine plugins like AdNauseum could help with that. It’s a clever idea, I’ll have to check it out - thanks!
It’s slightly more complicated than that. You have to ask “are they a Republican or a Democrat?”. If the answer is Republican, it’s probably an official act. If the answer is Democrat, it is not an official act. If the answer is “It’s Donald Trump”, then they follow up with the question “how high?”.
Wow, the law is so complicated, I tell you what. Thank goodness we have highly qualified, politically neutral judges to interpret it for us.
