slight pinch in my balls when they gave me the local anesthetic.
Slight pinch? Brother don’t sugar coat it. It feels like getting kicked in the sack by a mule. But it’s only for a moment and its still 100% worth it.
For me, my vasectomy was probably the single most miserable medical procedure I’ve ever had performed, but the recovery wasn’t bad at all and I would still get it done in a heartbeat.
You joke but my dad once fell face first into a bonfire and blistered most of his face. When the skin grew back his dermatologist told him that a lot of people would kill for a skin treatment as good as what he wound up with. He was almost entirely blemish and wrinkle free when he healed.
You could probably manage the same with enough hot steam from an iron but it may take a bit longer.
That is the dumbest thing. All of my comp sci stuff was open everything because out in the real world you would never be programming without those resources available. I don’t see why IT wouldn’t be the same. If they are testing your competency then you should have access to the internet just like you would in a job. If they are testing your memory then they should just use a lockdown browser or something.
Honestly, their comercial ones are getting that way too. Like who the hell needs a touchscreen on an industrial thermal printer; thats just one more thing to easily break in an industrial environment. And god forbid you want a replacement touch screen because a new one is half the cost of a new printer.
When I worked IT, our honeywell rep used to swing by at random and bring the entire building doughnuts. And I’m not talking gas station doughnuts, I’m talking doughnuts from the best bakery in the state (which happened to be local). Perhaps, not surprisingly we used a lot of honeywell stuff. It isn’t hard to bribe IT guys.
Fun fact, those refrigerents can be (and are required to be) reclaimed and sold to recyclers. Old refrigerants that can no longer be legaly produced are actually worth an absurd amount of money when reclaimed because they can still be used but because they can’t legally be manufactured or imported the only source for them is stuff reclaimed out of other systems. Companies will pay absurd amounts of money to not have to refit their refrigeration systems to work with new refrigerants.
So if you have an old appliance still full of something like R-12 or R-22 then you have a gold mine to someone with the right equipment and certifications.
What if you work them to death nonphysically. Just mental death via mindnumbing drugery. Have them do something like data entry. Then their organs will still be good and as a bonus they will be begging to have them removed.
That’s the thing with keto though. Being in ketosis doesn’t make you lose weight on it’s own. It just makes it way easier to eat less because you don’t spend all day feeling hungry.
it bends so much more than you think it should
Especially if it’s in a child. Weird kids and their weird flexible bones.
They said slams, that’s how you know it’s good journalism.
I can’t give you a peer reviewed source or anything but most of my family works in medicine including a couple of travel nurses who have worked in basically every department at one point or another at a variety of hospitals around the country.
Emergent care just means things like emergency rooms, urgent care, and clinic visits. It is a term used to describe the hospital departments that cover visits for new “emergent” conditions. Unless you’ve worked in a hospital you probably wouldn’t have heard that term but it does get used often behind the scenes.
Those departments tend to be money sinks for hospitals for several reasons. Firstly, because they need to remain staffed all the time, rather than being able to schedule staffing around scheduled appointments. Secondly, the cases seen there are usually less profitable for the hospital; treating little Timmys strep throat makes them far less money than Franks orthopedic surgery. Finally, people are just far less likely to pay when visiting those departments. If you don’t have insurance then your only real option for medical treatment is to go to the ER and just ignore the bill because the hospital legally has to treat you regardless of whether you can pay or not and collecting on medical debt is far more tricky than it is with other debts.
It’s not a HIPPA violation if you’re a minor and the information is being released to your parents. In fact, I’m pretty sure they’re required to disclose any and all information to your parents unpon request. Minors have no rights to privacy against their parents at least in the US.
You joke but that kind of used to he a thing. People used to get their teeth pulled and get dentures just because it was assumed their teeth would rot out at some point anyways.
But brussel sprouts are the ideal means of getting butter to your mouth without people looking at you weird.
It’s like he’s old and wants to retire but if he tries to leave on his own the DNC is going to kill his dog.
Theives can still dump them in those shady cash for phones machines and walk away with a bit of cash.
They eat anything that is smaller than they are legs included. They’ll eat anything from bed bugs to spiders. I even saw one chewing of a wasp at one point.
Dark matter is just the friends we made along the way.
I think you a word.
I’ve leterally been sack tapped by a horse and it hurt less than that needle. Of course as soon as the anesthetic actually kicked a moment later it stopped and I was fine. So it only actually felt like my testicles had been injected with everclear via a claw hammer for a very brief moment. Maybe our docs just used a different anesthetic or something.
But, yeah I 100% agree on the recovery. I went and got a few groceries immediately after without issue.
