For me, it’s Beatmania by Konami. I first played it as a highschooler in the late 90s and it’s totally changed the way I visualize music. I will never not think of music as notes falling towards a line because of it.

Both my wife and I are immunocompromised (kidney transplant and cancer). We wear a mask because getting sick really sucks and it’s not just COVID. We’re glad most people got used to the idea of seeing others in masks because here in the US it wasn’t a common thing like it is in Japan. I never expected others to continue wearing them but we get harassed often for wearing ours. It’s so frustrating now that I simply yell “she has cancer” whenever someone confronts us. Some go as far as to tell us to “stay home” then if we’re so scared. We’re just trying to live too and sometimes that means us wearing a mask when we’re out.

So does it brother you when other people wear masks? If so, why?

I have a 4 year old son and I absolutely love taking him to have some ice cream (he loves Yogurtland). The excitement and smile on his face when he gets a treat he likes is the thing I will think about most when I’m on my death bed. It wasn’t the new car or the promotion that will cross my mind, it will be about spending time with him and doing things which make him the most happy.

Where in California are you? Here in SoCal with SCE their PRIME Time Of Use plan is $0.26/kWH from 9PM - 4PM. Totally works for my family since we work from home and drive EVs locally. We also have a 2019 Prius which gets us about 50-55 MPG and 500+ miles on a full tank for longer drives.

Edit: I should add that the standard Time Of Use plan is $0.38/kWH from 9PM - 4PM. Peak hour usage from 4PM - 9PM is somewhere between $0.53 - $0.62/kWh I think.

We mainly charge our car overnight and it works out well for us.

My family makes almond milk with our blender. It’s actually quite easy and not as expensive as buying the carton or gallon. It’s really just almonds and water (and salt or vanilla if you’re into other flavors).

I loved being able to open up Assistant to quickly summarize an article for me, but Gemini requires me to also attach the URL to its context and then type/say “Summarize” and then hit the submit button only to wait longer for the summary.

The only pro I can think about is that I can continue to ask for details about or related to the article.

I’m using it at work as well and Copilot has been pretty decent with writing out entire methods when I start with the jsdoc or code comments before writing the actual method. It’s now becoming my habit to have it generate some near-working code or decent boilerplate.

Instead of egg, I usually have surimi (or imitation crab sticks). They’re not expensive at Asian markets (about $4-6 here in California for a couple dozen sticks) and can be stored in the freezer for a long time.

I actually just had some for breakfast. Nongshim + surimi cut into smaller pieces.
