  • I’m originally from the UK but moved to Canada when little.

Fall is my favorite season. I LOVE cold, dark, rainy days. My entire body just feels relaxed.

Summers here are getting hotter and hotter, with long stretches of 30c where you can’t do anything.

Winters here are either painfully freezing with face-cracking winds or giant dumpings of snow that make getting around impossible

Fall is a nice blend of cooler temps, a little rain, a little darkness, a fresh start with kids gone back to school, just generally pleasant as long as you don’t have to clean up too many fallen leaves :)

  • I’ve only been able to cut sugar by eating less as a whole. That means intermittent fasting (first meal at noon). No food/snacks after dinner. Going to bed early. If I’m craving something sweet, I’ll have A PIECE of candy or HALF a can of cola. I personally really like the taste of Pepsi Zero Lime and Dr. Pepper Strawberries and Cream - but as a Canadian, those flavors aren’t readily available here.

“quitting” sugar, like any other addiction takes time and requires a lot of discipline. Make small changes that you can be consistent with and stick with it for a few months. Soon you’ll notice your body adjust. You’ll have more energy, your cravings will go away, you’ll become sensitive to the taste of sugar like how non-smokers are sensitive to the smell of cigarettes. Your only regret will be wishing you had started sooner.

    Good luck!

  • Is it normal? Yes. Is it healthy? No. I wish I spent my younger years focused on building myself rather than worrying about things out of my control.

Find yourself. Find what motivates you and makes you happy. Learn to be happy on your own. Learn to be confident without the validation from others. As you go through that journey, you’ll run into similar like-minded people and maybe some that you’re actually attracted to (lol)

It’ll happen when you least expect it when you’re focused on other priorities. Hope this helps.

  • The question was “What type of stuff are you buying off Aliexpress?”

I started responding with “toys, cleaning supplies, phone cases, etc.” And then I noticed I was responding to a post on ** Aliexpress@programming.dev**

So I felt like my response wouldn’t be as helpful or would be off-topic because I was responding on the programming.dev instance.

Right? That makes sense right? LOL
