It IS a sport, but unfortunately illegal.

I’m a hospital worker in Ohio. I’ve had plenty of positive tests. I’ve not admitted anyone for COVID in ~3 years.
It’s just not deadly anymore.
15 minutes is just reactionary spitballing to exaggerate.
Most of my previous “office work” was primarily back end development, and the approach tended to be hands off from my supervisor. So long as work was getting done in a timely fashion, my hours and daily schedule was up to me. I much preferred that approach as opposed to rigid hours and direct management. I suppose different strokes here.
One employee said they want to see new safety protocols in place … and is calling on Wells Fargo to do more.
How is this at all negligence on the company? How terrible would it be if company policy mandated 15 minute buddy check in system to prevent this? Are we just searching for someone to blame when there may be nobody to blame?
As someone who switched to Linux before discovering that it would break the PC integration (quest won’t let it run without their shitty app and it won’t run in Linux), here’s hoping that this is a good step towards improving quest functionality in Linux!
Meh, there’s really no overarching governing body regarding this. At academic facilities, most operations are primarily performed by residents (completed medical school and are doctors, but not specialized) and medical students (not yet doctors). All this is done under the license of the attending doctor. It’s increasingly common for surgeries to be performed by NPs (who can get degrees online), PAs (this requires 3 years of in person work), or surgical assistants (few weeks certificate course). It’s all based on the level of comfort of the attending physician. If he/she was directly overseeing the daughter drilling and ensured sterile technique, probably not the cause of the patient being “unable to work”. That’s probably more so due to that fact that TBIs suck.
Good for them. Whatever the reasons for their son’s crime, it’s not theirs. With all of the vitriol out there, a lawyer is a good idea.
Yeah, we tried that one. I didn’t think anyone’s stomach volume is large enough for that amount. None of us could get past the 45 minute mark.
Sounds like a fun game! Depending on tolerance, maybe beer instead of shots…
Reminds me of the game thunderstruck. Get everyone in a circle with a few drinks on hand. Start the song “thunderstruck” by AC/DC. First person starts chugging and on every time they say “thunderstruck”, that person stops chugging and the next in line starts. Very fun but uneven. Once the into starts, one person is chugging for a bit.
Another election cycle, another meaningless “candidate will legalize marijuana according to source familiar” and no direct statement from the candidate. Meaningless words that never pan out.
Social media AND politics combined? Better post to technology forums!
studios to tape a roundtable discussion with Dr. Phil and others
Why does anyone still care what Mr. Phil (no longer a doctor, was barely one to begin with) does or says anymore?
What if Ukraine invades Russia and overthrows Putin? And established a better government with interest in caring for the people, nuclear de-escalation, and better foreign relations?
I know it’s never going to happen, but imagine how great that would be? St. Petersburg isn’t that far into Russia…
The tag line on this with regards to IQ is very misleading. Setting aside that IQ is a terrible form of measurement and no weight should be given to it, the study actually reveals that measured IQ is unchanged. They measured after discharge, and then several years later with no change. With no pre-covid measurement, this is a more than useless bit of data.
Depression and anxiety are increased, but so did that of the general population. So hard to tie any of that to COVID or long COVID.
Seriously doubt it. Elective surgeries were likely cancelled, which could certainly prolong suffering for some, but life saving surgeries can absolutely happen and do without computers.
Fuck rabies, man. Fortunately, a bat won’t transmit via scratch. But even The smallest bite or transfer of saliva on an open wound can transmit it. If you encounter a bat and are 100% sure it didn’t bite you, it’s fine. But if you’re only 99% sure, you’re in for a world of hurt with the rabies series. That’s why people who wake up with a bat in their room have to go through the series.
I was unaware of “Project 2025”, interesting read! While that does contain multiple concerning ideas, this is far from a reliable manifesto. Additionally, ties have been drawn to the Trump campaign, but these are loose ties and appear primarily to be op-eds. Trump has also disavowed ties to this “publication”. Lastly, that “Washington Post report” is another one of those vague articles featuring “according to sources familiar”.
While this may be true, and a drone strike may be ordered on US soil, the President will not be the one controlling the drone, not directly in command of that person. The UCMJ supercedes in the case.
So you’re saying that you like Hitler? Holy cow, get a load of this guy!
Everyone, get in here and rally against this person!
