Sozialen Anschluss in anderen Ländern finden ist doch erheblich einfacher als in Deutschland. Einerseits natürlich, weil man mit anderen Ausländern connecten kann, andererseits aber weil die Einheimischen an wenigen Orten so verschlossen sind, wie in Deutschland. Das gilt auch für die Akademikerbubble, die sich immer für so super offen hält. Freundeskreise sind in Deutschland einfach nahezu geschlossene Einheiten.
Ich finde, du triffst den Nagel auf den Kopf. Alle Politik könnte man ertragen, wenn die Städte lebenswert wären und das sind sie in Deutschland einfach nicht und werden es auch über Jahrzente nicht werden.
Da sind wir uns nicht einig. Sinkende Arbeitnehmerzahlen sind ein deutlich kleineres Problem als sie oft dargestellt werden, weil Boomer nunmal oft auf Posten sitzen, die schon längst wegrationalisiert wären, wenn man sie denn losbekäme. Ganz grundsätzlich bin ich außerdem davon überzeugt, dass ein Arbeitnehmermarkt ein gesünderes wirtschaftliches Umfeld als ein Arbeitgebermarkt ist, denn einerseits wird Arbeit wird dadurch dort alloziert, wo sie ökonomisch den meisten Wert stiftet und andererseits sind Arbeitnehmer nunmal das eigentliche Rückgrat der Wirtschaft. Dass es der Anspruch einer sozial-bewussten Demokratie sein sollte, möglichst viele Menschen in ihrem Einflussbereich besser zu stellen, ist da ein fast schon nebensächlicher Grund, der ebenfalls dafür spricht, den Markt auf die Arbeitnehmerseite zu kippen.
Und genau das halte ich für inhaltlich falsch. Liberale Zuwanderung ist gesamtgesellschaftlich und vorallem für den überwiegenden Teil der Gesellschaft ein Minusgeschäft hinsichtlich der individuellen ökonomischen Situation und der Lebensqualität. Man kann es aus humanistischen Gründen ja trotzdem fordern, aber es vor diesem Hintergrund als Gewinn verkaufen zu wollen, halte ich für Augenwischerei.

Jupp, absoluter No-Brainer für Angestellte, sich Zuwanderung zu wünschen. Deswegen findens Arbeitgeber auch so geil. Weil die ihre Angestellten so gerne haben.

Ich meine mit Bullshitjobs nicht die nach dieser These, sondern vorallem zwei Arten von Jobs: Einerseits den Wasserkopf in den alten Industrien, wo einfach viel gemanaget und wenig gearbeitet wird und andererseits und andererseits die ganzen Stellen, die man schon vor Jahren wegautomatisieren hätte können.
Viele Boomer werden keine Lücke hinterlassen, weil Deren Bullshit-Jobs gar nicht neu besetzt werden.
Die Leute, die sterben, tun es auf dem Land und die Lebenden wollen in die Stadt. Das Argument ist völlig daneben.
Es war eben auch nicht alles gut unter Hitler und der Lukas traut sich einfach, das offen auszusprechen.
I’m not even sure if AirBnb per se is a problem. Depends on the time frame, we’re talking about. If they are used for below two weeks they are just better hotels, but as a multiple months accommodation for nomads interested in being part of the city and making meaningful connections - why not?
Ich hatte noch nie was davon gehört - ist im deutschen Markt wohl auch eine relativ kleine Nummer. Aber den Ausschlag hat dann wohl auch die Tatsache gegeben, dass ich nach dem Kauf von denen mit Werbung zugemüllt wurde.
Isn’t it everywhere? I think this is another strong indicator of how we need new cities that are fostered a little less to generating profit and instead to generating quality value for the people living there. If so, tourism would change automatically.
