President Biden on Monday ripped the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor for seeking arrest warrants against Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “The ICC p…
There are so many plausible explanations that make more sense than yours, but I’ll happily give you one:
The US has interest in a strong ally in the Middle East. They have massive companies—literally some of the biggest—that pretty much are “the economy” that all have interest in seeing war happen, because they sell weapons. It’s not about what’s right. It’s about what’s prudent for US interests. Money, power. It’s really not that complicated.
There isn’t a cOnSPiRaCY here. It’s fucking capitalism and geopolitics. They’re both horrible, murderous games, and the US is at the top of both, but the sands are shifting. You think this is bad? They’ll do much worse if the foundations crumbles beneath them any further. I feel like I bring this up every time someone seems baffled by Biden/democrats supporting Israel. It’s the country that’s in bed with Israel. Not Biden. Trump may seem like he “doesn’t play by the rules,” but that’s just because he doesn’t know them. But his greed and hatred would see him be 10x worse on Palestine. So buckle up, people. It’s all bad.
Yeah, you have powerful interests working against you in both the DNC, the RNC, as well ans all the money in politics if you stand out while trying to get into office. Going against the grain only really works if it’s an approved version of “against the grain.” Far right politicians are bootlickers at heart. And at face value. That’s why the Overton window rarely shifts back to the left. The right can go as far as they want. But move even slightly left of progressive and you’re persona non grata. A huge target is placed on your head and you will get nowhere. There’s a reason we don’t get far left politicians winning elections. They would be Sisyphus. An impossible task with the equivalent of the might of the gods working against you.

AIPAC operates openly it isn’t a conspiracy.
The original questioner fails to realize that it isn’t after being sworn in that they pledge support for Israel. It is before being sworn in.

They won’t come into power without the blessing and funding of AIPAC.
