This is direct quote from IRNN’s 3/4th (the scribblings bottom of the screen).
I will keep this thread updated if IRNN says anything else.
If you can read Persian, you can access a direct feed to IRNN via Telewebiun: https://telewebion.com/live/irinn
Some semantics:
- They did not say it ‘fell’ or ‘impacted’ or most importantly, ‘crashed’. They said ‘landed harshly’.
- By ‘said’, I mean they ‘wrote’. The only source is IRNN 3/4th.
- They use the word ‘saaneheh’ to refer to the accident, this is an Arabic loanword that is generally used to refer to such accident. Think, 9/11 is a ‘saaneheh’. Warning: This is an Arabic loanword, in Persian, Arabic loanwords are ‘false friends’, they don’t mean what they mean in Arabic.
Update from the 3/4th:
- Rain, fog, etc is making the rescue effort extremely difficult.
- The Red Crescent has sent 40 teams.
Update 2:
- The Red Crescent cannot find the crash site (they’re still not saying ‘crash’, they use the aforementioned word).
Update 3:
- The Red Crescent (read the comments if you don’t know who they are) says because of ‘extremely harsh weather’, the possibility of an ‘aerial search’ is nil.
Update 4:
- Secretary of the State (I’m using American equivalents because I believe most people here are from there) said that ‘Due to bad weather, the Helicopter carrying the president had to land harshly’; he later added ‘The weather makes rescue effort extremely difficult’.
Update 5:
- IRNN shows videos from Jolfa, here’s a screencap: https://imgur.com/a/XqEDgGo
