Starfield boss explains reason Xbox version is locked at 30fps

Bethesda boss Todd Howard has explained why Starfield is going to be locked to 30fps on Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Biggest concerning signs:

  1. 30 FPS lock on xbox, there’s no way to spin that positively, absolute fail

  2. Predatory pre-order bonus skins to get people to buy before they know what they’re actually going to experience (buggy shitshow)

  3. Countless attempts to hype up the game and huge random assurances from the devs

  4. Preemptively admitting the game has jank and trying to make it seem okay lol

At least the bugs will be absolutely hilarious I think.

    I think one thing to remember is that it’s going to be on the XBox Game Pass when it releases. So if you are subscribed to that, you can download it for free and play it before you decide whether to get it or not.

    Though, given it’s supposed to be 125 GB, I’m seriously wondering if I want to dedicate that much storage space on my XBox Series S to it…
