As some business leaders accept hybrid work as a permanent reality, others are backtracking on earlier pledges to let employees work from home.
They don’t regret RTO, they simply said they would have done it differently if they had the data they now have.
Any exec who wouldn’t adjust their plan in light of new data should be fired. The headline is bait, and the study is conducted by a company that rents office space as a service, which is a huge conflict of interest
Exactly. The “solution” to the article isn’t, “hey, times have changed and it’s time we start using the tech that was supposed to change our lives…to change our lives instead of sticking to outdated practices.”
Their “solution” is, “here’s literally $3 a day to take care of your pet or kid. Now get the fuck back to the office.” It’s bullshit pacification and literally being used in this article as a PR boost.
Fuck this article. And, for good measure, fuck capitalism.
Surprise surprise, people don’t want to waste time commuting to a place to work when they can do the exact same thing at home
They only care because they are losing money. Losing money is the only thing that will give these people an emotion.
Most bosses probably prefer to work from the comfort of their home, and not waste time in commutes.
